Great Magic? That sounded ridiculous. I didn't believe it for one bit, but then again… that could explain why I had unlocked Magic Detection all the sudden.
"But Great Magic belongs to a Great Spirit… doesn't it?"
I looked at Leorio with a confused glance.
I scratched my forehead before placing my hands upon my head, shaking it back and forth in disbelief.
"Gaaaaahhh! This doesn't make any sense! There's no way I'm something that special! I expected like some Main character development, b-b-but not something like a Great Spirit??!! How isn't it a coincidence? No way! This is definitely a coincidence!!!"
I didn't want… something so… important? Guaaahh!! No way would I want this!
WHAT? WHY WAS HE LAUGHING AT SOMETHING SO BIG?
"There's just no way!"
I fell to my knees after panicking, now hugging them in disbelief.
Leorio would reach his hand down and tug onto my ear.
Ow ow, ow, ow.
I was forced to stand up once he pulled me up to my feet, and from my despair…
Leorio pridefully placed his hands upon his hips after letting my ear go.
Wait what? Seriously, was he even taking this as legit? He seemed so casual!
"U-Uhhh… well… um… great I guess?"
I nervously accepted it, feeling Leorio place his hand onto my shoulder.
Next Step…? My eyebrows spiked up a bit, wondering what I was about to go through now…
"What's the next step…?"
Leorio bowed his head with a smirk on his face, letting my shoulder go whilst walking ahead of me.
He walked a few meters away until he had enough room to unsheathe his blade.
This was honestly all too much!!!
"T-That seriously sounds too dangerous—"
Leorio shouted right at me once I became hesitant, causing me to back up.
Leorio's words were true… but… I just… I couldn't do it?
My legs were shaking, now balling up a fist. So many negative and scary thoughts were flooding my mind…
"Fighting is… too… scary… maybe I was just wrong… I am not worthy of becoming a knight! I rather stay in the background as a mage or something—"
Once I said those words, Leorio would suddenly appear in front of me, kicking me right into the stomach.
"G-Guohhh…! Ack!!!"
What the hell? What was he doing to me…? It felt like my entire body had just shattered like glass… my fragile body now floating into the air for a few moments until gravity done it's thing, sending me down into the ground.
"L-Leo…rio… why did you do… that?"
He had looked down at me, stabbing his blade right next to my head—
He's right… I thought he was just walking up to me to comfort me or something. But no. It was a brutal kick to my gut.
"Stop… this… my body is too fragile to be a knight… I see that now! I'll just… be a mage…"
I held onto my stomach, wincing an eye before looking up at the Dimensional Knight.
He would point down at me, a fierce expression showing upon his face.
Wait… was he feeling jealous, or upset? I didn't know…
"…"
I looked up at him with a dazzled expression.
<…Sigh… alright, I apologize. If it's your choice then so be it, sounds like a mage is better for you anyway.>
I still felt my body in pain, slowly trying to get up… but…
"Aggh!! Gyah!"
My body flew once more—
"Kuhaaagh!"
I collided into the side of a tree which were scattered along the edges of the gravel road.
Leorio… he kicked me again, this time shattering my ribs.
"You… you… are… just destroying me now…"
Why…!? Someone make it stop! I couldn't take it anymore.
He was teaching me… in the most horrible way.
My body was already on the ground once I collided with the tree a moment ago, now slowly standing back up.
"I… I don't know how to use my… magic…"
I would hold my stomach, groaning in pain..
"I just… don't know how to utilize it… definitely something powerful as Great Magic?"
Leorio would now hold the hilt of his blade, pulling it from the ground.
He spun his sword around in his hand, my body backing up till I bumped into the tree behind me.
"Y-You wouldn't…! You're not that type of person!"
I would slightly crouch, almost forgetting about my pain from the sheer will to survive right now.
My fists would ball up, ready to dodge or evade anything that would come my way right now.
No… I won't die! Not now! Not ever!
"Stop it, Leorio!"
I tried to say it, but I felt like my words didn't even reach him.
I didn't even know what an Eldbroake was… but whatever it was, I'm sure it was important.
My body would tense up a bit more, feeling the need to run… though…
"Maybe if I did try… I could do something…"
Leorio would smirk at me soon as I mumbled those words… did he hear me?
That didn't matter right now! The Knight in front of me suddenly began to utilize his mana—
[Distinctive Magic Activated]
[Skill Casted: Dimensional Shredder(Lv.9)]
He was insane! Just crazy!!!
"A-A level 9 skill?"
Leorio would spike up his eyebrow after I shouted.
{Did he just read my skill level, but how did he know..?}
Leorio said so in his mind, wondering what else Takumi could do… but now he was going to find out himself.
He shouted from the top of his lungs, utilizing his mana, then activating his Distinctive magic, thus bringing out his skill.
————————————————————————————
The Steps were simple for those who understood Magic and it's properties:
Step 1: Bring forth your Mana
Step 2. Activate your magic, be it Common magic, distinctive magic, optimum magic, etc.
Step 3: Use your skill from one of the magics
The Three Basic steps one must know.
————————————————————————————
Leorios Dimensional Shredder would cut through space and dimensions in front of it, being able to cut through anything in its way, regardless of its durability.
The Knight slashed his blade straight towards me, a large crescent of annihilating Red coming my way to destroy my very existence.
"I'm gonna die… damnit! I guess I'll try something!"
My heart was pounding viciously, now extending both of my hands forward.
[Great Magic activated]
[Skill Casted: Dimensional Counter(???)]
I couldn't explain it, but it was like I created a skill who's exact purpose was to counter the Dimensional Shredder. Suddenly in front of both me and the Red crescent, two hands came out from nothingness - one from left, and another from right that will suppress and transform anything between them into a 2-D object that will at the impact of the hands turn it to nothingness.
I could hear Leorio shocked as I was.
The hands who caught the Red crescent which was aimed to kill me, would bundle it up, slowly morphing it into a 2-D object which I could look at.
An exact counter to dimensions, I created something like that?
"I guess… this is the power of Great Magic!"
I would smile, a worrisome look still upon my face.
