"You're almost there, Kate. I am so proud of you," Katrina said as she watched Kate who sat on the other side of the carriage. Kate had scored bigger than Katrina did. There was nothing more satisfying than seeing her daughter having an easy life. It was what Katrina worked so hard to achieve. "The house is turning out nice. I will give the two of you some money so you can continue to change it up to your liking."
"There is no need for that mother. Simon tells me to spend what I want but I am being mindful to not seem like I will waste his money in the future. You should save the money you want to give us," Kate replied, looking away from the window to her mother.
Katrina smiled as Kate was changing quickly. Perhaps too quickly. Katrina was preparing Kate for this very moment for years but now that the time had come, Katrina did not want to have her only child leave her side.
