The table became silent as Alfred sat down without anyone's help. He made it clear it was only his arm that was injured and though there was some pain in his left leg, he didn't need anyone's help. Alfred was on a good path to recovery and wished to not be a burden to anyone else.
"What brings you here, Dominic? Did you walk away from your mother again?" Alfred asked the moment he got comfortable in his seat.
"See, Alfred. This is why I have been trying to steal you away from Edgar for years. You're the only one who gets me," Dominic answered, happy to have someone who understood that he did not run away from his mother. He quickly walked away. There was a big difference. "Whenever you get tired working for Edgar, come to me."
"Alfred isn't a butler anymore. His years of keeping this house perfect have come to an end," Alessandra announced.
