Bella sat on the plump couch in the living room of her apartment as she watched TV like any bored teenager would do on a Sunday noon. Though some would rather hang out with their friends, her friends were not always available on Sundays.
She stuffed a handful of popcorn inside her mouth and drank some coke. She did all this things without letting her gaze leave the TV, this scene always cracked her up.
Just then she started laughing, she laughed hard that she mistakenly fell the popcorn and it poured all over the couch and the floor. Her door bell rang and she smiled to herself before screaming the words ' come in ' and Miles walked in, shutting the door behind him afterwards.
She was literally the only one at home as her Dad was still on that business trip and her mom was as usual, working even though today was a Sunday.
" Scoot over", Miles said causally as he joined her on the couch and she moved away a little, creating space for him to sit down. He bent his body so he could pick up the pop corn but after realising he couldn't pick them all, he left the remainder on the floor.
" You're back from church?", she asked with a less concerned voice not letting her eyes move from the TV and he nodded before suddenly grabbing the TV remote from her side and switching off the TV.
" What the..?", she exclaimed and quickly stared at him in anger. " We watched this movie on Friday night with our classmates, why are you watching it again?", he asked softly, keeping the remote on the next couch where he knew it was off her reach.
She sighed and shoved a handful of popcorn in her mouth and then she proceeded with talking. " That's because I didn't pay too much attention while watching it so I figured I could just watch it again", she said slowly with her mouth full but he still understood her.
" Besides, all the other students laughed through out the movie and I was always spacing out. I mean if it weren't for you, I wouldn't have got to see the good good scene", she said dreamily and he playfully smacked her cheeks.
" Wake up", he said with his usual funny smile and she threw popcorn on him and then got up from the couch headed straight to the dining room. He followed after her, headed to the fridge instead as he grabbed a bottle of coke.
" Why were you spacing out anyway?", he asked causally, taking a huge sip of his coke and she stared on, not knowing how to answer. Realizing that his answer was met with silence, he stopped drinking and narrowed his brown eyes at her.
" Is something troubling you Bella?", he asked this time with a look of concern. He approached her and then occupied the seat next to her on one of the dining chairs. She picked up an apple from the fruit bowl on the table, grabbed a fruit knife and stuck it in the middle.
" It's nothing much, just my parents that's all", she lied handing him the apple as she grabbed his coke and drank from it. His eyes followed her movements and he couldn't help but realize that by doing that, she was indirectly kissing him.
He shook his head mentally as if to wake himself up. He had already been brutally rejected by her, what more clarification did he need?
" I understand...", he said calmly as he took a bite out of the apple. " On second thought, you can come hang out with me and Grandma, she actually misses you", he said dropping the half eaten apple on the table as he munched on the one inside his mouth.
" Really now, I miss her too, she's really sweet for her age", she said recalling all the fun time she's had with Miles's grandma. " But I can't come", she suddenly exclaimed decisively and he stared at her with a raised eye brow.
" I have to babysit Junie and Carmen, those two siblings who live three blocks away", she said and his face fell immediately. He almost forgot she was a part time babysitter who didn't do it because of the money but did it only for the fun of it.
" Okay then I'll drop you off, I brought my car", he said standing up from his chair as she did the same. He suddenly realized that she was dressed in nothing but a tank top and shorts which let him see her curvaceous outline clearly.
He swallowed and looked elsewhere while she headed towards the stairs. " Let me change my outfit first", she said softly and hurried away afterwards. His head replayed that image of her and he frowned deeply. Can he truly just stop loving her?

Sasha stared at the gift box feeling quite homely. Gwen had stuck it in her backpack without her knowledge and she was really upset about that. She didn't want her mom to think that things were actually fine between them because they weren't.
She sat on her comfortable bed just staring at the well packaged box, a bit curious about what was inside. Yet the sender of the box made her resent it deeply.
Looking at the box all she saw was her mother's betrayal to her, her only daughter. She threw the box aside and glared at it fiercely as if channeling all her hurt from that night on it. The night that she had been kicked out and her mother had done nothing about it.
Her mom had always said Mom and Sasha against the world, they had always had a good mother-daughter bond but yet her mom stood by and watched her get kicked out of the house on that rainy night.
Didn't it obviously mean that her mom saw her as an evil demon as well. An evil spirit who needed cleansing, right? She chuckled to herself and her eyes quickly stared at the bracelet on her wrist, it was a silver bracelet that her mom had given her as a birthday gift.
' No matter what Sasha, don't ever take this bracelet off. Mommy loves you so much', Sasha recalled all her mom had said to her on her fourteenth birthday.
" Do you really love me like you say you do?", she asked herself quietly as she stared at the box beside her on the bed. Her eyes watered immediately, being alone really sucked you know and right now she felt so alone.
