Gwen carried the mini tray which held two cups of coffee, towards Sasha who was busy watching TV in the living room. Currently she was in Sasha's small two-bedroom apartment.
This was one of the places where she knew she was surely not going to get caught or recognized by anyone. So no matter how romantic she and Sasha got, she could be very sure that no one would find out.
Sasha lived quite far away from the main town and she shared her apartment with a roommate who was barely around due to the person's area of work and Gwen had nothing to worry about because the roommate was a boy and he sort of knew Sasha's sexuality.
" Here you go", Gwen said softly passing Sasha a cup from the small tray and Sasha took it with a smile. She grabbed her own cup and occupied the space next to Sasha on the couch.
The voice coming from the TV didn't hinder their own voices as they reigned in silence for a while, comfortable silence. Just sipping their coffee from time to time.
Gwen adjusted herself on the seat so that both her legs were lying on Sasha's lap as she smiled comfortably.
" I'm sorry you had to skip school because of me, I just couldn't stay one more moment there", Sasha said breaking the silence as she dropped her coffee mug down on the glass table positioned in the center of the living room.
" Sasha, is everything fine?", Gwen asked softly not knowing if Sasha would give an answer. Sasha was the kind of person to keep her problems to herself and not really share them with anyone, she was the 'I can handle it by myself' type.
As expected, Sasha turned to her with raised eyebrows and Gwen just sighed. She went back to sipping her coffee since the silence was more better than having to wallow in the thought about Sasha's secretiveness.
" My Grandma is sick and I'm not allowed to go see her", Sasha started off causing Gwen to stare at her a bit shocked before recovering and sitting in a much proper position by placing her legs on the carpeted floor.
She didn't say anything as she didn't want Sasha to stop talking, she instead decided within her that she would just listen.
Sasha toyed with her fingers, her head bent down, the moment she looked up at the TV and turned sideways to stare at Gwen, her eyes were already misty and just as their eyes met, she let her tears fall.
Gwen quickly rushed to rest her palm against Sasha's as a sign of comfort and Sasha nodded in acceptance.
" My Dad said I can only see her once I have already cleansed myself of the evil spirit inhabiting me", Sasha said in a shattered voice and this time she was already shedding uncontrollable tears and Gwen was quick to embrace her.
" My....my grandma....", Sasha cried out shakily unable to form a complete sentence and Gwen just patted her back crying silently herself, this was the reason she feared the truth about her sexuality getting out.
Sasha left home after her family refused to accept who she was and she had been living happily ever since then. That was what Sasha always said to her and deep down she had always wondered how Sasha could be so brave.
She knew now that Sasha was indeed brave but sometimes even the bravest of all would shed tears. Rejection was a hard thing to deal with and she, Gwen Henrietta Gray, was just too scared to face it so she didn't want anyone finding out yet.
She kept on hugging Sasha till her crying fit became a muffled sob and they just sat on the couch hugging each other in silence as the TV stayed on remaining the only noise in the living room.
" Gwen, I'm tired", Sasha said softly, leaving Gwen's embrace. She saw Gwen's eyes were red and she chuckled softly, her lips raising up into a bright smile, her red eyes and puffy cheeks remaining the proof that she had just been crying.
" You cried?", she asked afterwards and Gwen nodded sheepishly whilst wiping her face. " Well it's not every day you get to see your secretive girlfriend let out one of her many secrets", Gwen said smiling as well.
" The point is, my heart ached for you Sasha. I'm just so sorry you wouldn't be able to see her", Gwen said staring straight at Sasha's eyes as she let her palm rest on Sasha's again.
This time Sasha entwined their fingers bringing it up to her lips to leave a kiss on it. She sniffed and smiled lovingly at Gwen.
" It's okay, I'm sure my brother will keep me informed like he has always been doing", she said with hope in reference to her younger brother who was more accepting of her sexuality when she came out to him.
" So why don't I treat you to some nice dish baby girl", Sasha said standing up as she beamed like a child, something she rarely did when others were around. Their hands were no longer entwined.
" You are gonna cook for me, that's so cute", Gwen said immediately and Sasha just blinked at her and all of a sudden burst into laughter.
" Nice try I see what you doing. It's just some leftovers Alex left in the fridge said I could warm it up when you're around since he knows am too lazy to cook", she said afterwards, heading towards the kitchen while Gwen followed behind.
Alex was Sasha's roommate and the dude was really cool. He was also having issues with his family and how he and Sasha ended up becoming a roommate was still unknown to her.
Gwen watched calmly as Sasha brought out a container from the mini fridge in the kitchen, then she closed it and started walking over to the microwave to reheat it.
Gwen heard a dinged noise and realized it was her phone. She removed it from her Jean shorts pocket and checked to see a text message from her mother asking if she could drop by her Father's company.
She texted a yes and asked for the occasion. Her mom sent her a message in code word and she smiled as she read it. They were going to trap Justin, her brother was in for drama tonight.

Justin got into his car tiredly. He hoped no one was home so he could just walk in and head straight towards his room to get some rest. For some reason he felt a severe headache coming up and he quickly thought about his ailment, it could be acting up so he needed his drugs.
Just as he opened his car door to get in, he heard the door to the passenger seat open as well and he frowned looking over to the other side but then he heard the noise of the door going shut and he quickly bent his head to stare into the car.
There she was, sitting inside, her light brown hair cascading beautifully down her shoulders. She was trying to strap her seatbelt on and he frowned deeply.
After she succeeded in doing that, she turned to face him, staring back at him with those magical grey eyes and that amazing smile which caused him to frown once more at how his poor heart skipped a bit the moment their eyes met.
He raised his head up and walked over to the other side opening the passenger door. "What are you doing in my car Annabella?", he asked softly afterwards.
" Well Justin you are taking us both to Uno Dos coffee shop because you are a good partner and you can't fail us both", she said decisively staring at him quietly.
The way he was always quick to remove his eyes from hers made her feel superior over him in some way so she always felt the intense urge to hold his eyes.
Bella watched him sigh deeply as he ran his fingers through his black soft hair as if frustrated with her. But to her that look just now was damn sexy.
She snapped out of it already noticing that she was actually admiring him. His thin lips moved mouthing something but she didn't get it and he suddenly tapped her.
" Get out", he said once again tired of this drama causing Bella to frown at his grumpiness but she made no attempt to leave.
" I'm not going anywhere Justin so get in the car and drive us both to where you are most comfortable", she suggested and he stared at her baffled.
Bella held unto her chest just staring straight ahead front not daring to look at the person next to her. She didn't understand what was going on but something about him was starting to attract her and she hated that feeling within her.
She had always been someone to act on impulse so the moment she saw him open the door to his car, she rushed over quickly opening the door to the passenger seat as well and closing it as she stepped in.
She just couldn't let him leave. Since he thought he was good enough to make decisions for her, she wanted to show him that he couldn't and she would always get her way with arrogant persons like him.
That was the only reason, nothing else, she said within her and turned sideways to stare at him watching as he stared at her with deep intensity and although her poor heart skipped a bit at that concentrated look, she didn't look away quickly.
Justin sighed again not leaving his position and he stared at her beautiful pale face but not her eyes. He thought she was someone he could handle and get rid of, but he didn't know she was this persistent.
" I'm going to drag you out by force if you don't get out of my car Annabella", he said in a deeper voice trying to scare the hell out of her but it only made Bella's little heart thud once again at the way he said her name.
The rest of the words reached her ear and her calm look quickly disappeared as she glared at him in shock. His hands moved to her wrist and held it but she ignored the fuzzy feeling of his wide palms holding her thin wrist, then she quickly voiced.
" If you try anything, just anything, Justin Gray, I will scream the loudest in this parking lot and draw so much attention then I will tell everyone that you are trying to man handle me", she said and watched as he jerked his hand away from hers.
" I would never do that Annabella", he said quickly in defense but once again all she quickly caught was the way he said her full name. Was he doing that on purpose because what the hell was he getting out of it?
" Just get in the car Justin and drive, you know you really can't avoid me or this assignment. Today's Wednesday and we are due Friday", she said softly watching him sigh deeply before shutting her door and going round to get into the car.
Other cars were already deserting the school parking lot and the space next to him was already empty. He got into his car and shut the door strapping his seatbelt on then he stared at her once again with his face just blank then he turned away from her and started driving out of the school.
She was so persistent and smart unlike other girls. He had a good looking face and that didn't fail to attract girls to him especially during Junior year at Border town High school but with his arrogant behavior which was a cover of the real him, he had managed to drive them away.
Just that none of them had ever outsmarted him like this and put him in a spot where he couldn't escape.
Bella watched as he drove staring straight ahead in deep concentration and she chuckled inwardly. What a serious driver. She had successfully gotten what she wanted but what's to say he wouldn't desert her the moment she gets down from the car.
She stared back at him and observed him but didn't make it too obvious. His side view was just heavenly yet she never noticed him. Did he wear a mask all his life and why was it so that only the good looking ones with arrogant characteristics ever caught interest?
Her grey inquisitive eyes saw something brown lying comfortably on the back seat and she smiled when she saw it was the journal he was always so busy on.
Without him noticing, she stealthily led her left hand towards the book and snatched it successfully and her heart thud faster at the success, then she drew the book to her side and hid it.
He suddenly turned to stare at her and she gulped, it was because the sort of look he had on his face was one that said he could eat her alive in one serve.
