Chereads / THE BOY I LOVE / Chapter 7 - Her Sexuality

Chapter 7 - Her Sexuality

" Thanks for giving me a ride home", Gwen said happily as she opened the door of Sasha's car and was about getting out with her backpack when all of a sudden she was pulled back in.

" So what, you're not going to give me a goodbye kiss, come on don't be like this baby girl", Sasha complained her one arm holding Gwen's wrist to herself.

Gwen looked around the neighborhood to be sure no one was watching and when she was completely sure, she leaned closer to Sasha and gave her a perk on the lips but Sasha deepened the kiss anyway as their tongues ended up dancing around till they pulled out, both heaving for air.

Gwen flashed Sasha her signature smile as she got out of the car only to find her mom heading towards them. She lost concentration when she saw the serious look on her mom's pale face and a sudden fear hit her.

Did her mom just see her kissing Sasha? Her heart stopped the moment her mom reached towards her and she felt all air leaving her.

Tears started to gather at the corner of her eyes, she really didn't know what to do, should she run, should she stand and face her mom's scolding.

" Sweet why are you crying?", Jennette asked as she reached where Gwen stood unmoving. "Did you say something to my daughter?", Jennette suddenly asked Sasha and Gwen quickly shook her head insisting that wasn't the case.

Jennette's brown eyes wandered over Gwen checking to see if Gwen was actually hurt. This particular person had never brought her daughter home in her presence so who was she?

Gwen's mouth was slightly open but yet she couldn't say a word to her mom. The truth about her sexuality was eating her up that she had started crying every time out of guilt.

Sasha got down from the car and stared at her with deep worried eyes not bothering to hide her worry and sometimes she wished Sasha was not this carefree.

" Mom I'm fine, Sasha didn't say anything to me, I am just worried about Jay", she said finally recovering the ability to think. At the mention of her brother, their mom became alert as she turned to face her with raised eyebrows.

" He's fine, he's just not talking to me or taking me seriously that's all", she said softly and her mom's face dulled but only for a moment as she immediately recovered her usual glow.

" No worries sweet, Your brother will be fine, just give him some time", her mom said and she nodded softly like a child.

" Do you want to come in?", Jenette asked turning to stare at the black beauty who had been quiet all the while. Gwen immediately gave Sasha a side stare to refuse her mom and although that was the last thing Sasha wanted to do, she had to say no, for Gwen's sake.

She just wondered when her baby girl would be more accepting of the truth about people like them. Hiding in the shadows wasn't suitable for people like them, even though there were going to be problems, there's this relief you also have knowing fully well you don't have to hide your sexuality anymore.

She got into her car watching Gwen walk away with her mom into their comfortable sweet looking apartment. When she was sure they had finally gone in, she stepped on the gear and drove off, straight to her comfortable home where she lived alone.

Bella stared at the people coming in and going out of the restaurant like she had nothing else to do. Well she did have nothing to do, she didn't want to think that way but it was very, very, clear before her eyes now that she had just been stood up.

She ran her slender fingers through her light brown hair in frustration as she sipped some pretty cold coffee. She had come in late, 4:20pm to be precise because she was so caught up with Miles and he had decided to walk her down to the shop because it wasn't that far from his house.

She was even glad Justin didn't come before her else he would have seen something to ridicule her about sooner or later. She was starting to notice he was that kind of person, observing but quiet.

She had waited, waited like a statue, till she started going through the assignment herself and just checking online if there would be some example to work with but yet when she thought about her future after graduation, she felt suffocated.

She wanted to graduate highschool, then go to college and study, live far from her parents.

She just wanted somewhere to live peacefully, some where she didn't have to wake up to morning fights and going to college was the perfect escape but she just didn't think that she wouldn't be the one to make that decision.

Her Dad wanted her to study business so she could one day be a successful business personnel like him and have her own house, her own family and her own money and she wouldn't have to worry about anything.

But that was a jinx to her plans and college became a suffocating idea when she thought of it, having to go study what she didn't have the passion for, how inconvenient. And worst of all she couldn't take back the day she said yes to him out of daughterly affection forgetting she was going to be making a compromise.

That was the period her parents had started falling apart and they had started giving her the 'stranger' treatment and she really wanted to restore their father-daughter bond but now she just felt suffocated about it.

But that was far from what she wanted to be, shocking, but she wanted to be a relationship therapist, someone who helps people through marriages and their love life also their family ties.

She's seen a lot of families separate because of lack of love and so on, she was sure her family was also going to fall apart too, just when?

She had always been good at giving good advices and listening to people, she just didn't expect her Dad to have plans for her, since he barely knows he has a daughter.

Sighing, she packed up her textbooks and viewed the almost empty shop. It wasn't just coffee they sold here, it was also a small bakery shop so she called over a waiter to her table hoping to have cake in bed tonight.

After ordering and watching the waiter walk away to arrange her order. She brought out her phone and texted Miles that he should come pick her up and that he should bring his car along because he was going to give her a ride home. She should really learn how to drive a car because sooner or later she would start walking the streets.

She stared at the almost empty coffee cup and then at her phone, seriously how could he.... just not show up and not even bother to call.... was it because he didn't have her number or did something come up? He better have an explanation tomorrow because she wouldn't let him get away with playing with her like that.

Meanwhile, Justin sat inside his car which was parked across the road, opposite him was the restaurant Annabella had asked him to meet. At the place his car was parked, he could see her through the glass windows of the building sipping coffee slowly while she touched her phone screen.

He didn't know how long he could stay here before his mom would start to worry about him but he had to make sure she left safely. Was she a fool or something? Could she not see that it was almost 7:00pm and he wouldn't show up? She wasn't even showing signs of anger or tiredness, just smiling peacefully at her phone screen.

He stared at his journal and he scribbled something on it, then he saw her collect a box from a waiter. Whoa, she ordered cake, was she planning on spending the night there?

He watched as a few cars zoomed past the area and he stared at his journal once more, then he wrote something, then he striked it, he couldn't concentrate because he was distracted by her.

He picked up his phone and contemplated dialing her number so he could tell her she should leave but he couldn't knowing fully well that would sabotage his plans. He stared up and watched her smile at her phone screen, God that smile was heavenly.

He dropped back his phone. He couldn't get close to her, he couldn't let her get closer to him either, he needed her to hate him.... that always hurt when he thought about it but he couldn't drag anyone to his world especially someone like her.

All of a sudden, a car drove in stopping at the side of the road next to the restaurant. He watched as someone came down from the car, a slim young boy, the boy who he had seen with her earlier.

The boy walked into the restaurant, he was dressed in a black denim jacket paired with long black jeans and white polo shirt, the only thing was that he was wearing a black slipper and his hair was quite ruffled.

He came out later with Annabella and he seemed to be upset about something. Justin watched Annabella talk to him but the so called Miles kept kicking his car tyres as he listened, probably angry that she had been kept waiting, not bothered that he wasn't wearing shoes but slippers.

He was anticipating the drama tomorrow but he was also hoping it wouldn't involve fights because he wouldn't stay calm and watch himself get beaten up.

They finally got into the car and they drove away making a U-turn before disappearing from his sight.

He stared at the almost dark sky then he closed his journal, dropped it at the passenger seat, propped his chair up, then started the ignition to drive away.
