"Clause? What clause?"
Louis asked, looking completely suspicious, knowing that there was definitely something sinister cooking inside David's mind. Or else, he would never have accepted his proposal, this easily- not in a thousand years.
"You all must attend the Alpha pudding eating ceremony for the newcomer. I guess everyone had completely forgotten about Nora's arrival after all, as no one had organised this party on her behalf. So I think I will hold it, what do you say Princess?"
"I have eaten-"
Before Nora could say a word apart from this, Louis quickly cut her off.
"Okay! I accept your invitation. But who else are you inviting -"
"Oh, Louis! Has no one ever told you that asking a host about their guest list is considered a little rude? So just leave it to me, and come to the ground. I will be waiting for you."
Saying this, David walked away with a smirk on his face.
He never really wanted to do this in the first place, but Nora hadn't left him with any other options… so now, she had to bear the consequences.
But still, there was one thing left to be done; and for that, he needed to bring everyone's attention upon himself.

The field was already filled with the students, where everyone was rooting for their preferred contestant according to their house, their packs or their preferences.
Meanwhile, there were two people looking here and there with concern:
The first being Robin, who was trying to find his idiotic brother, and Myron, who needed to know about the well being of his found sister.
The moment Robin saw David approaching the ground, he rushed towards him and grabbed his wrist to pull him aside to a corner, so that they could have a chat without anyone disturbing them.
"What the hell is wrong with you brother? Everytime, I come to a point where I think you can't step lower than this level of stupidity. And then, you have to prove me wrong and outdo yourself -"
"Robin! I am quite busy right now, as I'm sure you know, I have a fight with -"
"Brother, she is new to the school and probably has never even held a sword in her weak and fragile hands-"
"You seem to be quite interested in her weak and fragile hands."
Both the brothers were conversing after repeatedly cutting each other off in the middle of their sentence, till the point where David decided to use his pointy comment as a weapon.
"This is not the answer to my question."
The comment had done its work perfectly, as it took Robin a moment to find a reply in order to speak again, but the moment he ended his statement, he heard
"I know! And relax, I am not going to fight against you weak and fragile princess. Instead, I must tell you that her other admirer, Louis, has accepted the invitation to fight.
But still, I have a surprise for you, I have organised the Alpha pudding eating ceremony as the welcome party for Nora.
Now move aside, I don't like getting late to the fights I call."
Saying this, he left Robin standing there in disbelief at the information that had been dumped on him. He only stirred upon hearing Myron's voice,
"Princess! Are you okay… I heard-"
"I am going to fight David, take her safely to the royal zone and keep her security in mind."
Louis interrupted the question and issued an order to Myron, pulling Robin completely back to reality. Seeing Louis standing in front of him, he demanded,
"Why are you doing this?"
Don't worry, I am not going to hurt your brother, nor am I going to steal any of his moves.
It's just that I am not sure about Nora's fencing capabilities yet, and hence, I can't compromise with her safety.
But there is one more thing… I am asking you again, is there anything you are hiding from me? About Nora?"
Louis asked after halting for a few seconds, until he noticed Nora vanishing from their sight.
"No."
Robin gave a curt reply and turned his back to join the crowd, when he heard Louis' parting words;
"Okay then! I don't think there is anything much for me to worry about."

The moment they both stepped into the field, a loud cheer echoed through the entire premises.
As the girls in the class had predicted, David was indeed shirtless, only wearing a pair of black trousers. He was keenly aware of the eyes on himself as the sun shone on the honey coloured contours of his barrel chest, and yet, his mind was only focused on the burning need to defeat his opponent.
Louis had also discarded his shirt before stepping into the field, revealing his milky white complexion and the rippling abs that belied his sweet smile, promoting his status in school as the ultimate dreamy boy.
Both the contestants came to a stop in the center of the arena, facing each other and without breaking the threatening eye contact for a second.
Next, two omegas approached them, while one of them was carrying a bronze platter with strips of silken red cloth on it. The sound of murmurs grew in intensity, as an omega stepped forward and tied the red blindfold on each of the Alphas, one by one.
At one beat of the drum, these two marched out of the arena, as another pair of omegas began to walk towards the field. This time, they were carrying one bronze platter each, on which lay their respective swords.
As soon as the platter was brought in front of him, David reached out and picked up his trusty sword. The long, polished blade had a sharp point at one end, and on the other end was the silver hilt of the sword. David moved one hand along the hilt, feeling the smooth, cool twists of its serpentine body. On top of the serpent's body, was the head of a fierce, snarling wolf with red rubies embedded in its eyes.
At the same time, Louis felt a smile form on his face as he held his weapon. The long blade was slightly curved at the end, marking its function as a hook; while the golden hilt had a crescent - moon shaped handle, an ode to the Dionne pack which Louis belonged to.
A hush fell across the stadium at the final beat of the drum, signaling the start of the fight.
The first attack was successfully defended by Louis, which not only sent ripples of shock towards David, but through the entire stadium.
Only Robin was the one to notice that as promised, Louis was just defending himself; otherwise, his brother would have received a very sharp wound after the fatal mistakes he had made. First, by thinking that Louis might not be good at fencing; and second, by taking the approach of attacking first without securing his defense.
