"Sleep,you'll need it",the owner of the voice said.
:Present time:
Mirai woke up slowly as she felt hydrated more importantly relived.She tried to open her eyes as felt thousand of needles prick in her whole body.After slowly opening her eyes,she saw something like an IP bag connected to her jawline.
"You are awake?",a voice asked.
"You bought me here?",Mirai asked as she asked as she recognized the person.
"Yeah",the usual bored tone of Hitoshi somehow sounded reassuring to her.
"Thanks",she slowly said.
"No problem,it was Harris who actually saved you",he said.
"Oh",she was a little bit confused.
"He's here?",she asked.
"He came a little while ago",he looked around for Harris.
"My beloved sister!",Harris finally decided to make his dramatic entrance.
"Oh hello",she greeted with a little smile.
"I'm not going to ask how you are.But for now,you need some serious rest",he said as he took a seat on the couch opposite to her.
"Oh yeah...something happened to me",she tried to control the overwhelmed feeling in her mind.
"It happened because you were around a lot of people and most probably did something that drained out your energy,making you thirsty for blood",Harris slowly explained.
"I see",she suddenly remembered her mother's illusion.
"I was taking a walk outside then found you barely able to walk",Hitoshi said.Her eyes landed on the IP connected to her.
"It's a bag of blood.I connected it to one of your veins to keep you alive",Harris said as he fixed the bag.
"Thanks..."she felt horrible.
"It's fine,as you were never out there with so much human around you after your transformation,it was only normal",Harris gave you a reassuring smile.
Mirai stayed quite as Hitoshi looked at her."I want to go home',she said as she weekly stood up.
"Are you going to be fine all by yourself?",Hitoshi asked.
"Yeah",she said.
"I don't really recommend leaving now but please do whatever you please after the blood is finished."Harris said after eyeing the half empty blood bag.
"Okay",she said before quietly seating back down.Harris left the room to bring some stuffs.Mirai was feeling thirsty but didn't feel like drinking anything,so she stayed quite.
"I'll be back be",Hitoshi jogged out.
"What if I end up hurting them?",she could imagine herself making her worst nightmare come true.She looked at the blood bag.Everything felt so unreal.
"Here",Hitoshi held out a cup of black coffee.
"Thanks."Who knows how but Hitoshi seemed to understand her.The freshly made coffee made her feel better.She finished within a short period of time.Hitoshi handed over some chocolates to her.She accepted it without refusing.
"Why do you guys always help me?",she asked.
"Because I got you involved in this situation.I am the one to blame for your transformation.The others are helping you because you are like us.And...you are my colleague",he said the last sentence a little bit quietly.
His kind words made her smile faintly."Thanks",she smiled slowly as she looked over the empty blood bag.
"I'm glad you saved me",she said the words as it made Hitoshi recall some vivid memories from his childhood.
"I'm glad I met all of you",she said before leaving the room.
"The exact...same words",Hitoshi was taken back by the similarities.
Hitoshi dropped her at her home.As usual the 'comfortable silence' made their journey normal.They reached her apartment.Mirai smiled once again before biding her goodbye.
"Feel free to call me if you feel sick again",Hitoshi said.
"Thanks,I will if I need to",she left with that.
He saw her figure fading away.
