Chapter 17 - Ch.17 Traffic Sucks

Dylan

The captain had asked me out to dinner, nothing unusual.

After a successful mission we would go into town together and eat. The whole squad, I mean. But tonight? Tonight was just us. I have no idea what he has planned and no idea what to wear. Hes my boss which means something respectful while being modest.

I opened a closet to find a bright red dress. It was beautiful and definitely expensive. No harm in looking at it,right?

I pulled it out of the closet and examined it.

It was short, just above the knee with lace trimming. The straps were off the shoulder and no doubt gave a perfect view to cleavage. There were sleeves that ran down to the elbow and were laced at the end.

It was gorgeous.

I spun it around to find a note taped to the left hand side of the chest.

"Dylan,

I felt like Red was your color. I hope you like it because its your dinner attire. Cant wait to see you.

Love,

The captain."

Holy shit. This was for me?

I looked over the dress once more before deciding to wear it.

It was this or old pants from my uniform. Shrugging, I slid the dress up over my waist and onto my shoulders. It was tight around my curves but it would do. Well maybe, I already couldn't feel my stomach.

I grabbed the hanger and threw it back onto the rack. Something shiny in the bottom of the closet caught my attention.

I bent down and grabbed the glossy items.

Heels. Midnight blue heels. The lighting in the room showed of the tiny tint of blue. Would these match the dress?

I guess in the right lighting they would.

I looked down at my scarred thighs and grimaced. Not very attractive or mature. I reached over and grabbed a set of stockings out of a white box.

I couldn't help but smile whilst getting ready. Despite the lack of parenting my parents actually did, they did allow me to dress up a few times. For my birthday they would let me clean the attic and go through old things for presents.

It sounds awful but I loved it. I found dresses and heels. Sometimes even jewelry. I loved dressing up, maybe I should be grateful for tonight.

Captain is giving me the opportunity to be myself and let loose a little.

Ill go on this 'date' happily.

"Dylan?" A knock sounded at the door.

Deep breath, Dylan.

"One second!" I called and finished strapping the heels.

I clumsily made my way to the door and opened the door to see the captain.

It doesnt mean anything.

"Sir," I saluted him.

"Please, For tonight call me Steven. May I?" He nodded at my arm and I looped mine with this.

Doesn't mean anything.

"You look lovely. I knew you would." Steven looked me up and down.

A shiver ran down my spine. I have a really bad feeling about this.

"Steven, Where are we going for dinner?" I asked after we took yet again another right turn.

He didn't reply.

"Steven?" I stopped dead in my tracks, but Steven kept walking and dragging me forward.

"Let go!" I hissed as he tightened his grip.

"Sorry sweetie, but you're my ticket to a million bucks." Steven pulled a rag out of his pocket and shoved it into my face.

"What are you doing?" I coughed as he held it against me.

"Putting you down for a nap." Steven winked.

"Riggs will come..." Sleep took over.
