When I say his persona was cold as steel it only implies that he was such a tough personality that nothing could move him in his life from the path he decided to take. No hardships whether financial or social could create a dent in his valour. Valour to live life with courage, Valour to never look down and keep moving among all the hardships.
When you have a persona like my grandfather one quality also comes as an annexure in your life: "To always stand with the truth" and he had that quality. This quality sometimes create major hardships in this practical world for you. His stubborn stand with truth cost him his job in service sector and consequentially resulted in financial hardships in the family at the time when both my mother and my uncle were very young and needed continuous expenditure towards education and nutrition.
Although today my mother is happily married and my uncle is well settled but still when we look in the past we see that we could do a whole lot better than what we finally got after a lot that we sacrificed in the name of truth.
Yet the savings that my grandfather gathered when he finally retired from the work were twenty percent financial and eighty percent non financial in the form of blessings that he earned sacrificing his portions towards the needy others and a pride that he always stood with truth no matter what.
