Kades POV
Tonight Amelia and I were supposed to be having our dinner date. I would be taking her out to dinner, and I just picked the restaurant we always go to it, Lobster Cuisine it's called. We always go there because it's Amelia's favorite restaurant to go to, she loves lobster.
I wore my best dark black suit, and she came down the steps of the inside of our house looking glamorous, wearing a light blue dress, sleeveless, and knee-length, her dark black hair in swirls at the ends, takes my breath away.
I hold out my hand for her as she descends the staircase into our living room, looking like a model. 'Oh my god.' I thought to myself. I bit my lip just watching her walk. She is so amazing.
She came to a stop once she reached me, "You ready to go Kade?" She asked.
I shook my head and leaned forwards grabbing her around the waist and crushing her to me. I swoop down and capture her lips in mine, kissing her passionately.
She immediately wraps her arms around my neck and pulls me closer, I pull her closer and feel her core meet my own and she whimpers and gasps out feeling pleasure, and Skye seemed to fill my mind at this point. I kept getting a nagging feeling, I couldn't get Skye off my mind for some reason, and my eyes shot back open and I let go of Amelia abruptly.
I felt guilty for even thinking of Skye when I had my fiance in my arms, I don't even know why I was even thinking of Skye. I hadn't even really had a proper conversation with her. She's a stranger. And I have the woman I love in my arms. So what was wrong with me?
"Sorry baby. I'm just not feeling so great." I said and I really wasn't but proceeded to open the front door for her.
"Perhaps some food may help?" I suggested, but really I knew food wasn't going to help.
Amelia smiled up at me and patted my back affectionately, "Sure babe we can try some food." She said.
And that was that. We were off in the car on the way to the restaurant.
On the way there, I didn't need to come up with any conversation, as Amelia likes to play the radio, and normally I would complain we couldn't talk if she turned the volume up too loud. Tonight, however, I welcomed the distraction and the break from scrambling to come up with words, I knew I would struggle with.
I didn't understand, I was so confused as to why I couldn't stop thinking about Skye, and not only that, I desperately wanted a way to make it un-awkward, and didn't want a wall to get in between my fiance and I. But somehow as I grappled for a way to start a conversation, it seemed as if a wall had wedged itself in between as, as I glance at Amelia and noticed she seemed very tense. Very unusual.
We pulled up into the parking lot and I noticed as I got out of the car, the sun has just about disappeared over the horizon. I go over to Amelias side and open the passenger door for her.
I grab her hand and help her out, earning a soft smile from her, "Thank you, love." She says.
I blink and see Amelia standing there looking so beautiful, everything melted away and again it was only us two in the world. I leaned forwards and placed my lips softly on her temples, "Everything for you." I smiled and warmth bloomed from my chest.
Amelia cast her eyes downward and a light blush spreads across her cheeks, I chuckle and lead the way inside, opening up the door for her, and also leading her to the booth table, I ordered for us.
It didn't take long after sitting for the waiter to come to our tables, "What would you lovely couple like to have for dinner this evening?" He asked and clicked his pen.
I don't even have to look at the menu, "Could I please get the steak and potatoes?" I asked.
The waiter smiled a little, "Ugh the steak is to die for. What about you, cheekiepoo?" His eyes turned to Amelia and upon hearing the nickname she blushes and stammers.
I wasn't angry, instead, I was quite amused, Barry, our waiter we've had since we started coming here for dinners, we had our first date here, with meeting Barry the very first time.
Barry was quite gay, with another amazing waiter being his husband, but unfortunately, it seems as if George wasn't working, normally both of them would greet us at the door.
I felt gloomy, George was always my favorite out of the two, he was always so excited to see us, such a contagious personality and you couldn't help but just enjoy his company and love his friendship. Barry was more reserved and mostly didn't talk too much, but I noticed with a small smile that Barry was quite the complete opposite.
"Um, can I get just a salad with a big burger, please?" Amelia asked and Barry scribbled it down, smiling at me before looking excitedly between us both, smiling like a goofball.
I ignored the fact, Amelia didn't order lobster, for once and she ordered a salad and a burger, my eyebrows flit together, but I cast my eyes to Barry.
I had to let out a chuckle and lean in, "Barry, what's going on?"
Barry lets out a tiny squeal, "You guys will not believe what George surprised me with for our eighth year anniversary!" By the way, he was glowing, I knew there would only be one thing to make him feel this way, but I let him tell it.
"What did George get you Barry?" I asked, intrigued but also amused.
Barry leans in, his hands going on the table, "We have a daughter!" He yells out and then looks around making sure he didn't disturb anybody's dinner.
I started clapping and then I held out my hand to Barry, "Good for you Barry! I'm so happy and excited for you guys, I know you've always wanted a child let alone a daughter, this is amazing!" I exclaimed and shook Barry's hand when he brought his own hand out for a congratulations handshake.
I let Amelia chime in as well as a big smile overtakes her face, knowing she was getting overly excited, not being able to say anything immediately. Amelia has always wanted a family, but as much as we have tried over the past couple of years, we've never been successful.
"What is her name, how old is she? What room does she have?" Amelia rushed out all at once, getting up to throw her arms over my head.
My guess of her being overly excited was right, I had to throw my head back and laugh at her, so beautiful. The way her eyes shine when she asks about Barry's new daughter.
Turns out she is just two and a half years old, her name is Emily and apparently George had it all lined up to surprise Barry on their exact anniversary day. It really was amazing to see their relationship over the years. They've become really good friends of ours.
Amelia eventually calmed down and stopped asking Barry so many questions, and he was able to escape and go wait for other tables but not before another handshake by me.
We sat there waiting for our meals, as my phone started to vibrate in my pocket. My eyebrows flew up, confused at who could be calling me. I told the law firm not to call me tonight, for anything, and they knew I was serious, whenever I tell them not to bother me, so I can have time with Amelia, they don't bother me.
But as I pull out my phone, I notice it's not my company. Its Skye. Her name screams at me from on my phone screen, and I glance at Amelia, "I'll be right back, I need to get this," I didn't clarify on who it was, and I didn't do that on purpose.
As I got up and walked out the front door to answer the phone call, my gut twisted and I almost couldn't breathe, not understanding why my chest suddenly feels like its being crushed. But that feeling went away as soon as I slid the phone over and held it up to my ear.
"Skye? Skylar Marie is that you?" I asked, and couldn't help the excited edge my voice took, she finally called me. I've been waiting for her to finally answer me, or call me back, and finally, she did.
I didn't hear anything but uneven breathing on the other end, and I was confused, 'Is this not the number I programmed as her?'
"Skye are you going to say anything?" I asked, and hoped to god it was her. If it wasn't I would feel really weird talking to somebody who is just heavily breathing on the other end of the line.
"Y-yeah, I just-I didn't expect you to pick up." Skye struggled to get out, and I could hear the struggle, the breaks in her voice as she stutters out, and I heard her take a deep breath in when she was done talking and exhaled pretty fast.
I smiled, not understanding why she had trouble speaking, but completely overtaken with excitement that, yes it really was Skye on the line. Before I knew it, a laugh came tumbling out of my mouth and I started pacing back and forth out by the front door.
"What have you been up to?" Skye asks.
"Well, I have my own company," I told her.
I then started rambling off about my company and my life, I also told her that a lot of the days it gets so tiring and I get so frustrated some nights, but Amelia my fiance, and I get through it often.
"Oh, your fiance? How long have you been engaged?" She asks.
I notice an edge to her voice that wasn't there a few minutes ago, but I brushed it off, "For about six years now." I go on to say and I go on to tell Skye how Amelia and I met. I was in the middle of explaining that Amelia hated me after that, but she interjected as I laughed.
"So, I uh-I'm moving back to Cherryville." She said, and I noticed she slurred her words a little. I guessed she may have been drinking, and I suddenly hoped she would take care of herself if she was drinking in public.
"What, when? Where?" I asked, suddenly really excited again, and I started pacing even faster back and forth, needing something to do, with my nerves feeling alive.
"I'm coming back tomorrow actually. I'm moving back into my old house." She said.
I smiled, "Oh wow, that's cool. What made you want to come back to your old house?" I asked.
"To try to get back in touch with myself. A lot has happened since I moved." Skye's voice is thickened suddenly with emotion.
My heart seized in my chest, she may be a semi-stranger to me, but I still cared for her, we grew up best friends for the longest time, that doesn't just go away.
"Oh, well I'm sorry something happened to you, but if it makes you feel any better, I still live in my house, right across the street from your house," I said and hoped it helped her feel better.
"Seriously? We need to get together so we can catch up! That is so cool." Skye says excitedly.
I knew what I said cheered her up, and I let my own smile sweep across my face, "Yes we absolutely should-" I went to say but got interrupted by Amelia as she comes out the front door.
"Babe!" Amelia shouts.
"Yes?" I ask.
"The food has arrived babe. Are you coming?" She asks, holding the door open.
"I'll be right there!" I say back and she nods and goes back inside.
I feel sad, I didn't want to stop talking to Skye, but I knew I had to go.
"I gotta go Skye," I say, sadly.
"Alright Kade, bye." I hear Skye say and wait but I don't hear a click, instead, I hear shuffling and my eyebrows come together.
"Skye? Skye did you mean to do that, or did you just not hit the end button? Are you going to say something else?"
I hear a sloshing sound coming from the line and bottles clinking, and hear Skye gulping, and I guessed she had taken more sips of her drink.
I shook my head and was just about to bring the phone away from my ear, when I hear panting on the other end of the line and my lips pursed.
'What was going on?' I thought to myself, trying to listen intently.
I hear a breathless moan from the other line, "Oh my god." A voice moans out and I realized with wide eyes as it's Skye. Skye wherever she is, and making herself feel really good, she's touching herself.
"Skye?!" I tried to call out, and be louder than her moans, and I had to sit down and try to calm down, unable to stop listening to the adorable panting I'm hearing.
I hang on to every word, every sound Skye makes and it makes my blood soar. All running down to one point, I didn't understand why I was having this reaction, to hearing a woman moan. I've heard plenty of women moan, including Amelia, but I don't think I've ever heard anything close to the angelic sound I was listening to.
I looked down and closed my eyes tightly, breathing heavily through my nose, and disappointment flows through me. I look down and realize I am as hard as I have ever been in my life. The tension becomes way too much, and my pants almost rip with how much force I strain to get out of the ugly fabric.
I hear Skye's moans getting more and more desperate as she climbs over the edge and seems to soar off it, I feel myself twitch and basically have a seizure in my pants, "Skye? The phone call is still on, I'm going to hang up." I was able to choke out, completely speechless still, and in shock.
I hear a gasp, then a shuffle and a breathless Skye comes on the phone, "Hello?"
"Skye?" I ask and had to clear my throat a little, my voice now three octaves lower, and wanting to do something other than talk, I am insanely bothered.
"Did you just…." I trail off, but I knew she knew exactly what I was asking.
"Fuck." Skye mutters.
I let out a loud laugh, more awkward but I try to not be so as I say. "Um, it's okay. Everybody does it. But I will end the call this time. Just to be sure." I say, but my voice took a deep husky tone and I struggled to talk.
"Okay." Skye says.
I bring the phone down and click the end button, I shakily take a deep breath and realize my legs are trembling, and as I am able to gather myself and calm down, I turn around and see Amelia standing at the door, an unreadable expression on her face.
"Who was it?" She says, and she smiles lightly.
"Just an old friend. It wasn't quite the conversation I was expecting." I confessed, but oddly I didn't want to exactly say what in the world happened on the phone just now.
Amelia nods her head, but I could see in her eyes, she didn't believe me, noticing something was off about me. And there was. I didn't understand, the insane response I had to Skylar.
Why in the world didn't I just hang up the phone once I realized what was going on?
Amelia ushered me back inside, and I reluctantly went inside and had dinner, I couldn't stop my thoughts from drifting to Skye. The way she moaned, made goosebumps appear on my skin, for tingles and intense pleasure to ripple their way through me.
I have never had that reaction before. To anything. It wasn't even in the same room moan, it was over the damn phone. I was so confused. I couldn't think straight.
My mind is a complete mess, as many many thoughts race through my mind. I try to concentrate on Amelia talking to me, about Barry and George's news, but I couldn't stop my mind from wandering to Skye every time I was able to hang on to a few words Amelia said.
'This was a complete failed dinner date I had planned, this was not at all how I wanted this to go over, not at all how I wanted this night to go.' I thought to myself, as I finger the diamond necklace I was going to give Amelia as a gift.
I had felt so bad for not being so attentive to her, and now I feel even worse, it doesn't feel right giving it to her right now, and I keep it in my pocket no longer able to keep the memory of it being a gift in my mind and I sweep it to the back of my mind.
At the end of the dinner date, however, Amelia was full and we both left on full stomachs and were able to come back home, crashing on our bed. And falling fast asleep, until the late morning hours.
I hoped Amelia had good dreams that night, for I did not. I kept hearing Skye's moans then seeing Amelia's face, in a weird blend and twist of nightmares, I tossed all night and morning in a cold sweat, unable to stop hearing the moans for even ten minutes.
