Chereads / Pi-Gar-Chu (One Piece Fanfic) / Chapter 91 - Day Two

Chapter 91 - Day Two

The second day was passing by quickly and each of the heirs were finding their own way to spend or make more berries.

Maximillion was still visiting the same place to waste his money on alcohol and other pleasures that the human world offered which could not be found on Zou.

He may have not been a bad child of the family or had bad intentions towards his siblings but he did have his bad habits and was far too easily influenced by others.

He grew up following his mothers words and once he had reached his teens where he should have started to think for himself, he was not well equipped enough to deal with the outside world which had led him to fall in with and be influenced by a bad crowd.

The hunting competition was the only time that he had been able to show off his better side but he had fallen ever since to the point that he had started to slack in most of his studies and training exercises.

If it was not for the Mink physique that allowed each Mink to process food and energy quickly then he may have become very unhealthy looking for his age.

The room that he was sat in was filled with a strange smoke on the second day as a candle was lit in the middle of the table in front of him while several Minks had deliriously sat around letting out their laughter towards the slightest thing.

Felice was more interested in studying the cultures and hierarchies of the humans so that she could see if there were any improvements that could be made to the noble culture on Zou.

There were both good and bad examples in human noble culture to be learned from since some noble ways were taught to make most nobles have a limited world view and a rather high amount of pride.

Felice had enjoyed learning about the various noble gatherings and games they played along with anything related to the clothing, jewellery, etiquette and tea mannerisms.

She sat reading a book that had different images in it along with various explanations about a specific subject and Felice kept making notes with shining eyes. "The ladies and young masters may come to love something like this if we can put our own twist on it."

The book had an image with people dressed up in riding clothing and were on horses, the horses were running while the people were holding a long mallet.

There were two goal posts on each side while a wooden ball was being chased and hit by the mallets.

Four people were participating and the name of the book was 'Polo'.

The supporter of Felice had taught her to be bold and to be confident when making her decisions or when appearing before the other noble families so there were extra lessons that had been drilled into her.

It allowed her to have a greater insight into their likes and dislikes then she could have the ability to take the initiative to be the one causing the most change and having the most attention.

In order to have a greater influence over the nobles, she had to cater to their needs and likes while being someone that could influence them.

If she was bold enough to be able to successfully start new trends and influence the other nobles then she would become the centre of their attention where she could later use that influence to help her gain the position as family head and to help the family grow further.

Her eyes became serious as she had wrote some notes and scribbled some out. "No.. this could work but I think that it would be best if I approach Pixel with this. Will she agree though?"

Meanwhile in other places on the island, Mica and Cleo were busy exploring and were enjoying their vacation and dating time together.

Micah was the more confident one who took the initiative in their relationship so he often led her around and pampered her while Cleo was on the receiving end of his affection and was shy about it.

Cleo was a child that rarely was shown affection by others unless it was to praise her for doing something that was expected of her by her mother but even those praises stopped quickly once her mother started taking her for granted.

Growing up in a family that was having each of the heirs compete with each other was not a healthy environment for a kid to grow up in and it could create a very toxic growing environment for them.

It was natural for the heirs to grow up with their own traumas or bad personality traits that could make them go down a bad path or make them have more difficulties trusting in others.

The time that Cleo had spent with Micah and her improved relationship with Pixel once her mother was no longer around to influence her was a positive step in the right direction but that did not mean that she was completely okay.

It would take some more time for her to overcome everything in her past and she would still be unable to properly deal with being given affection by others.

Seeing Cleo's shyness and bashful behaviour in front of him, Micah had shown a small smile as he gently held her hand before pulling her through the crowded streets. 'Compared to before.. this is much better now. She was so quiet back then but now she has opened up to me and her sister a little more.'

Micah never had a partner before and his only crush was from his previous life which was the Persian of Giovanni who was the leader of Team Rocket but he was too shy to confess and had known that he would be rejected.

In a strange new world, he did not think about dating or anything like that until he met Cleo.

Whether it was just his protectiveness over someone that was being bullied in front of him or if it was love at first sight, he did not truly know which it was that had led him towards the engagement but none of that mattered to him when he had already come to love her.
