Chapter 3 - Which Encounter

...

Dale couldn't contain his joy.

'Teacher spoke and described all these different types of riders known as "cars," but they are cooler than he described.' He almost sprinted after every automobile that sped by him, and the other side of the asphalt road, which was filled with tall, healthy trees, made the breeze quite relaxing. As he went, he closed his eyes and raised his eyes in the air.

-BUMP!-

He opened his eyes as he staggered backwards. For a little while, he stiffened.

Her white snow skin and hair, crimson lips, and bold stare caused his heart to skip many beats. The only problem was-

'This rotten smell'

The lady's brow was injured but quickly healed. As she left, she threw Dale a furious glance.

-Aaaakchu!-

He sneezed on her exquisite skin. The lady came to a halt and gently turned around. She was enraged, yet she gave a gentle deceitful smile.

"What exactly did you just do?" In a scornful tone, she said to him.

"I'm sorry, there was a foul odour."

She wrinkled her forehead and examined her clothes. "Excuse me, but are you being nasty right now?"

"No, I didn't intend it that way; I simply have a really sensitive nose," Dale spoke slowly, taking glimpses at her icy white face.

She let out a sigh as she combed her hair backwards with her finger. She clenched her fist and swung a punch at him-

-WHOOSH-

Dale weaved the punch, and it brushed his cheek, causing a little cut. He quickly covered it with his palm so the lady wouldn't notice it.

Rayhelle ashamedly buried her hand behind her back, not expecting it to hurt as much as it did.

'Who in the hell is he?' Is it normal for a human to be that strong and fast? It's not like I gave it any special speed or anything; it was just raw power. As she finally recognized his physique, she bit her lips and immediately yanked herself back to reality, she whispered in her mind. 'Oh my goodness, am I gawking at a ragged boy right now?' she wondered.

"You appear to throw a nice punch for a lady, and a gorgeous one at that."

"What guts?" she scoffs instantly. " I'm guessing you're new to town. You must be a newcomer. If that's the case, you have the audacity to accuse me of smelling like rotten tomatoes. "

"Uh, I didn't say toma--"

"Fuck what you said!" "Why the hell is your hand still covering your face?" she exclaimed at him, pausing for a second. "You're really asking for it, aren't you?"

'How am I going to tell her; teacher advised not to heal in front of anyone, it's abnormal and will make people suspicious of me?'

"You know what? "I'm not going to put up with being insulted by you motherfucking nutthole any longer." Dale belatedly realized a scarlet elegant Ferrari Daytona SP6 2031 model as she said and proceeded towards the road. Not that he recognized it but he found it beautiful and cool. He hurried up to her while she was wearing her sunglasses but she drove away before he could say anything, splattering water over his pants.

"Those things she spoke to me, mother... I don't understand, but it's comforting; I've never heard the word "mother" because Mani never mentioned it."  He turned his gaze to the front and continued strolling, loving the trees and the surroundings. He arrived at a massive signboard that read "YEP THIS IS WHATON" after a long trek.

"Weird, I thought teacher said, most cities always have welcome on their boards," he thought to himself as he walked into the city, some kilometres before the signpost, he could already see several residents, but there was a transformation after he passed the pointer. The entire neighbourhood was densely packed with enormous houses. He remained there with his mouth wide, turning around and around until he came to a halt and pulled out a small piece of paper the teacher had given to him.

"I should go find teacher's friend; I can't believe I'm going to live on a tall mountain that has been moulded; I'm sure teacher called them "houses." "There are villas, condos, flats, studio apartments, and penthouses too. Oh, I wish I could live in a penthouse ".. He kept chatting to himself as he walked as if he knew where he was headed. After a long time, he returned to where he began. He took a look around. "Acardia is wider and larger than this place, but I've never gotten lost," he thought to himself.

"Hey stranger," he heard a soft voice at that very moment. With a lovely grin, a dark-skinned girl approached him. "Are you lost?" She inquired.

"Uhm, thank you," he respectfully replied, "I'm looking for Hitch?" I'm not sure if you would recognize-"

"I know Hitch," she responded before he finished his sentence, smiling warmly at him and adding, "I can take you to him if you want."

"I'd be overjoyed, young lady."

"This is Amy."

"Huh?"

"My name is Amy for Amaya," she stated as they began to walk.

"My name is Dale," he said.

"Hmm... Dale, a hot name for a hot guy," she whispered, slowly nibbling a corner of her lips.

"I'm not very hot; I mean, if you're asking about my temperature, I'm fine," he said. She stopped before bursting out laughing.

"Checking your temperature? Boy, you are funny? What region are you from?" She inquired as she slowly ended her laughter.

"Acardia"

"Acardia? Where is that? " She asked with curiosity, but particularly with interest shown in her expression.

'Ah, that's right, the teacher told me to answer countryside if somebody asked where I was from.' "Uhm, the countryside.."

"That makes a lot of sense to me. They probably got you locked up in one of 'em farmhouses." She remarked this as she cast eyes toward Dale.

Dale smiled softly, 'teacher says smile when you find it hard to understand what they are saying'

They arrived at a massive farmhouse. "Okay! This is Hitch's, might not be a too different feel from the countryside itself, "she said

"Oh, he doesn't have a penthouse," Dale mumbled.

"Uhm, no, he doesn't," she laughed softly.

"Hitch is like this city's ancestor; he's been here since the beginning. He may not be much, but he has a big presence, and his boys are a lot like you." She concluded.

Dale cracked a grin. "Thank you very much."

"Thank you... do you have a phone?"

"That device, no," he said.

"It's fine, we'll probably see one another around a lot from now on," she added as she took a hesitant step back, still facing Dale.

"Yea!" "I like it," Dale remarked with a huge smile, "but you should face your front or you might fall."

She chuckled as she faced her front, "damn he's so hot and innocent, I gotta get him before anyone else..finally bye-bye to those fuckboys!" She said to herself and flew in the air as she went on. While Dale went to the farmhouse.

-creakk-

As he approached the front door, it opened. A middle-aged man emerged, wearing a cowboy hat and waxing his beard. He cast a glance towards Dale.

"What? "Are you going to talk or are you going to get shot?"

"No, no, I don't want to get shot. "Uhm, I'm from Silif," he explained.

"OHHH," he said as he removed his hat, "I heard of his modest passing; may his soul find true eternal peace." This is my house, but make yourself at home. When the boys arrive, I'll introduce you to them. So wash up and ama prepare you some meal" he said, not giving the confused Dale a chance to talk. He assisted Dale with his bag, and they both entered the house together.
