Chapter 45 - No way to talk to me.

Daphne had a smirk on her face when she say the fuming Kaithleen stalking towards her and asking her questions.

Just who the hell did she think she was?

"You are asking me where the hell your friend is? Well since I'm in the mood to humor you then I'd say your friend who by the way is my mate, just had to remind you since you apparently left out that part.

Your friend is in the bathroom cleaning up and having her alone time, you know after am intense workout."

Daphne saw the curious look on Kaithleen's face and decided to indulge the woman further since she already looked pretty invested in what she had to say.

"What do you mean by intense workout?" Kaithleen asked and walked closer to the chair where Daphne sat with her long legs crossed elegantly.

"Answer me before I do something I would regret." Kaithleen squinted her eyes at Daphne as she glared at the woman who sat poised with a bored expression on her face.

Unknown to Kaithleen who was too busy threatening Daphne, Arwen was already in the room and she was listening to everything Kaithleen had to say waiting for the right time to interrupt the young woman's reverie.

"What do you need her to answer and why the hell are you threatening my mate even after she told you I was in tje bathroom getting clean after an intense workout?

Don't tell me that you did not know to back off after she gave you that answer. What did you think she was talking about when she said intense workout? You saw me going to the gym earlier on yet you couldn't just back the heck off could you?" Arwen asked with fire in her eyes as she glared at Kaithleen.

"From now on I don't trust you around my mate so when you see her around me do yourself a favor and turn around.

I'm not restricting you from coming close to me but my mate is a different case entirely."

Arwen gave her order on what sue wanted to be done in their relationship and then she walked straight to Daphne and grabbed the woman's arm before they left the pack house to Daphne's car and of course Daphne not forgetting to mask her scent on their way out to avoid unnecessary attention.

"You said you wanted to talk? Hangout? I honestly can't remember which one exactly but since we are on the way to wherever I guess we can talk and hangout at the same time no?"

Arwen looked up at Daphne with hopeful eyes.

"We could do that for an hour or two, that's before I have to go pick up Zelda from school so I guess it works out good for everyone."

Daphne answered causing Arwen to start smiling before her face contorted to a tight frown instead spread across her features.

They finally arrived their destination with Daphne revving her car to reverse to her desired spot and not wasting time going out of her car with her date and handing the valet her keys to drive to the parking lot where the cars were supposed to be parked.

Why won't she do it herself?

Well she was lazy so no she wouldn't do that herself.

The mates walked into the expensive looking restaurant that had a black exterior looking real fancy and all but when they stepped into the restaurant itself, Arwen was stunned when she saw the gold and white interior of the restaurant.

The interior was a complete contrast to the exterior and that made Arwen speechless but she remembered the saying 'Do not judge a book by its cover.'

Remembering that she face palmed herself but quickly got herself together before she tripped on the huge rugs on the floor.

As they made their way to the VVIP booths, Daphne face one of the doors not sparing a single glance at the rest of them and she pushed the huge double doors open before stepping in with her hand clutched tightly around Arwen's slim waist.

"What are we doing here?" Arwen asked as her words caught themselves in her throat making it hard for her to make a sentence.

"What? We are here for our date, don't tell me you forgot so soon."

Daphne questioned with a glint of mischief behind her dark orbs that stared back at her mate with playfulness hidden beneath the mischievous exterior.

"Well if you're done being a cute little bean, how about we proceed to order some food as we chat while waiting on our meal and probably dessert. Whatever you want chica."

Daphne said and pat Arwen's butt twice urging her to take a seat and proceed with what she had said while she quietly sat opposite Arwen and watched her doing whatever she was doing not really paying attention to anything but her with her eyes filled with nothing but love for the woman she had come to acknowledge as her mate.
