Chapter 46 - Red Spider

Midday.

When all life has awakened from its sleep. In the middle of lunch time, when everyone was busy with their plates. Theo provides updates on Rosalina's current situation.

Perhaps it was more accurate to say, telling about Rosalina's now-known enemy.

Theo shows the status of Mercury, emphasizing the difference in level with Rosalina who was like earth and sky.

Seeing this, of course the Blumfield family was immediately worried. But for now, Theo calmed them down, because for now Mercury still didn't know much about Rosalina.

Rosalina's identity or disguise is currently not exposed yet.

"But, we can't eliminate the possible threat they pose, can we?" Said Emilio who felt that his older sister was currently in a precarious situation. Being in the same city with a monster like Mercury really made him uncomfortable.

"Well, what you said is true. For that, I already made several plans. This…"

Theo said as he handed a few pieces of paper to Emilio and the others. It had written down some of the things Rosalina would need for the next few days.

"Dad, do you think you can get those things?" Theo asked his father.

The goods that Theo wants are fairly rare in the market. At least the ones with good quality.

"If it's just low quality, I think this can be obtained quickly in the online market. But for Rosalina, I guess low quality would not be useful. I'll try to contact some friends in the military, maybe we can buy some of their second hand."

"Eh, military? I didn't know you had any connections to the military."

"What do you mean connection? I only have a few friends there. You've also met some of them. We like hunting together."

Heard about that, Theo remembering his father's hunting friends who sometimes used to come to the house.

From what he remembered, the friends that his father mentioned didn't look like anyone from the military. They are mostly old people who are fat and always wear a warm smile.

In fact, the things he remembers the most about them is that they are frequently bringing Theo sweets. Such as cakes, chocolate or candy.

Yeah, from what Theo remembered. Those people were no different from the neighborhoods uncles.

How could he have thought that they were soldiers?

"Ah, Dad, can we buy a tank then?"

Hearing the question, Damian immediately stared blankly at his son.

'Is he crazy?'

***

The southern part of Solmare, an area that becomes an active place for adventurers because of the guild headquarter and various bars there.

One of those bars is a place called Red Spider. The bar has pretty good drinks, however the food is rubbish. So not many adventurers hang out there.

Although the bar is considered a place that is empty, unpopular or just shitplace. Yet somehow, the Red Spider still stood firm for a dozen years.

In front of the door of the bar, now stood Rosalina in a new disguise.

This time the woman wore short black hair, red contact lenses and a mole under her left eye that she had drawn herself.

In addition, she also wears a mask that covers her mouth and tight black clothes like an assassin. The clothes are one of the products she sells, but for the sake of disguise, she has to use it.

On her hip hung a sword she had taken from one of Cray's men. Besides the sword, on her hip also hung a handgun. The reward from the mission this morning.

Having a handgun made Rosalina's self-confidence quite increase, although it must be admitted that the bullets are still a big problem.

Since before entering Solmare. Theo and Rosalina were already planning to search for information on the Red Spider. However, for one reason or another, the plan continued to be postponed. Until finally, today Theo slightly revised his plan.

After Rosalina met Mercury, Theo had to make the focus of Seven not to Rosalina, he wanted to misdirect it to the Black Horns. So these two sides can attack each other. Other than that, Theo has other plans as well to make the Seven busy. So first, he needs information about the Black Horns or the black market.

That's why Theo tells Rosalina to come to this place where information is traded. At least that's what it says in the Map feature. Other than that, Theo himself didn't know how to buy information on Red Spider. Rosalina had to figure it out herself.

The woman pushed the door into the bar which was actually located in a relatively crowded area.

But when Rosalina saw the situation inside the bar, only about a quarter of the tables were full of customers. While the other third was empty, even the chair itself was still on the table. Like a closed shop.

Rosalina scowled, she could faintly hear the noise from outside. Yeah, as she recalled, the bar next door was lively and full. There were even a few customers sitting outside of the bar. Side of the road while playing gambling.

Here... she didn't even hear the voices of the few customers present. They talk to their fellow table mates using low voices.

'Is this really a bar?'

Rosalina began to doubt the place Theo had told her. Does this place sell the information she needs?

"Welcome to Red Spider. Is there anything I can help you with, Miss?"

When Rosalina approached the bar table, the female bartender greeted her in a calm and melodious voice. A sweet smile appeared on her beautiful face. Wavy red hair, thick eyebrows with amber eyes.

"Do you have any food recommendations here?" Rosalina asked as she sat in front of the bartender.

Hearing this question, the bartender fell silent for a moment. While a few eyes behind Rosalina's back immediately laughing.

Likewise with a man sitting at the bar table not far from Rosalina. The gray-haired man with a scar on his right eye seemed to be holding back his laughter.

Rosalina knew that her question was something stupid. Because she already knew that the food at Red Spider was one of the worst meals in Solmare.

Honestly, she just asked casually so she could interact with the bartender. She didn't expect to get this kind of reaction from other customers.

'Haa, shit…'

Rosalina grumbled in her heart.

[Amber. Level 56. Assassin / Bartender.]

The long-awaited message arrived. Because Rosalina doesn't have the skills to identify like the isekai protagonists commonly found in fiction. So, she had to do it another way.

Theo's Log feature can identify people who interact directly with Rosalina. So only in this way can Rosalina know the simple status of her interlocutor.

'Level 56... scary~ why would someone like her work as a bartender?'
