Hey guys! How are you doing? I think you're doing all fine ☺️ BTW this is the last chapter of the story and I'm really feeling bad because I need to say goodbye to you guys 🥺 But! Don't worry cz I'll come back later with a better story and I promise I'll try my best to improve my English. I know I sucks at English and I gave you guys a very hard time. However, thanks to all of you who supported me till now. I'm really grateful cause I never thought you guys would actually read it 🤧🤧. I know many people would hate the ending but I wrote it from my perspective. And actually, I started writing the story thinking of this ending from the beginning. Though there could be a better ending for the story, I thought it'd be the best. So, if you're not satisfied with the ending, feel free to comment to suggest me with your opinion. "I will wait for you there. So you should better live a very honest and decent life so that you can meet me." Lina said and smiled sweetly.
"I will come to you no matter what. I promise." Dae Ju replied and he was so sure of his words. The environment was getting heavy so Dae Ju wanted to change it.
"Ah, right! Should I ask this or not?" he was acting so confused.
"What?" Lina was curious.
"Can I..." he couldn't finish his question because he gets the reply before it.
"You shouldn't ask. You can just do it," she replied and looked at him. He got red because he was feeling shy suddenly. His heart starts beating fast and he felt hot. Lina was prepared for that and closed her eyes. But she felt nothing so she was curious and opened her eyes.
"What are you doing?" she asked annoyingly.
"Ah! It's hot. Let me turn on the AC first." Dae Ju said and stood up to search the remote. He came back after turning on the AC and sat down again. He went close to her and she closed her eyes again. But that time, they heard someone rang the doorbell just then.
"Ah! Let me check who it is. Wait for me, okay? Don't fall asleep!" saying this he went outside. After a few minutes, he came back and saw Lina was lying on the bed.
"Who was it?" she asked.
"Ah! There was nobody. Someone must be pranked with us." He said and lied down beside her. He went close to her again but this time also, he couldn't do what he wanted because his phone started ringing.
"Aish! Go! And receive the phone! Don't come to me!" Lina was so annoyed and said.
"Ah! WHO?" Dae Ju shouted and checked who was on the phone.
"Another prank call!" he came back again and said. Lina lied down back to another side and closed her eyes as if she was sleeping.
"Ei! Look at me! I know you aren't sleeping!" Dae Ju tried to pull her and faced her to his side but she removed his hand from her annoyingly.
"Okay! Try it! Let's see who won!" Dae Ju was taking it as a challenge. When she opened her eyes, she saw he was too close to her. He was looking at her from too close.
"What?" she shouted.
"Look at my eyes." saying this he holds her and finally he could make her face him. She was staying quiet and kept looking at her. He came closer and finally he kissed her lips. She didn't refuse him this time. Instead, she stretched her hand and put them on Dae Ju's back to cuddle with him.
After a few months, Lina was sitting on her bed. She was not feeling too good so she was taking a rest. Dae Ju's mom came to see her.
"How are you my child?" she brings some porridge for her.
"Not so well. It keeps hurting me." she pointed at her fluffy belly and said.
"It's natural. It means that your baby is alright. But, you got too skinny? Don't you eat properly?" she asked.
"I can't. I always feel throwing up whenever I eat." Lina replied worriedly.
"No! You should try or else my grandchild will be sick! I am not worried about you. I am worried about him or her." she replied and laughed.
"Mom! You are so mean!" she pout her lips and said.
"I was kidding! Look! What did I bring? Eat this. Let me feed you." saying this she opened the box and took a spoonful of white porridge from it. She put it in her mouth and suddenly noticed that Lina's eyes got full of water.
"Hei! What's wrong?" she asked.
"You remind me of my mom! She used to feed me like this when I got sick," she answered.
"I am your mom too," she replied and took another spoonful of them and put them in her mouth again.
"Ah! My eyes hurt! I can't watch such a romantic thing!" Dae Ju went inside for some reason and seeing them together he started to make fun of them.
"HEY! Come here! I will remove your pain away! Just come!" his mom shouted.
"I am sorry!" He held his ear and took something from his drawer and then went outside again.
"Why are you looking so down?" Jheong Woo asked. They were sitting together and chatting with each other. But Dae Ju wasn't feeling very well.
"She doesn't have much time! She is sick already. Within some days I will be a dad. But, how can I celebrate? I can't be happy. Because she will not be there." he couldn't say much as he started hiding his tears.
"Don't hide. I know how you feel!" Jheong Woo tried to console him though he knew it wasn't that feeling which he felt when his mom passed away.
"What should I do? Why does my destiny always do this with me? Why do I always have to bear the pain?" Dae Ju started crying. Jheong Woo couldn't find any word to console him. He put his hand on him but he couldn't say a word to him.
That time his phone starts ringing. He took the call as it was his mom. He was shouting on the phone saying that Lina is not well. She needs to be hospitalized as soon as possible. Dae Ju got a huge shock though it was not surprising news for him. He knew that from earlier. He called the ambulance and he went to his house right then.
Dae Ju was roaming around here and there outside the room of the hospital. After some time, a nurse came outside and said,
"Congratulations! You just had a son! You can come inside and take a look at him." saying this she went inside again. Dae Ju was so happy that he forgot the most important thing. He went inside very happily. The baby was kept in a small bed beside the big bed of his mom. He wasn't crying or smiling. He was looking at Dae Ju with his bigger eyes.
"Can I take him?" he asked the nurse.
"Of course!" the nurse came and plucked up the baby and gave it to his hand. Dae Ju was hesitating to take the baby as it was too small. He was afraid that he would loosen him. Lina was lying on the bed and watching him from there. She smiled and said,
"It's not the right way. Come here. I will show you." she sat down slowly. Dae Ju went to her by walking very carefully so that the baby couldn't fall from his hand. She took the baby from his hand and said,
"Look! This is how you should grab him." she smiled and kept looking at the baby.
"He looks just like you." Dae Ju said and smiled.
"But I think he will look like you when he grows up." she was looking so happy.
"She has to stay in hospital." the doctor said with a very worried voice. Dae Ju understands what he was saying. She doesn't have much time left and as she is very sick, she has to stay the rest of the days in the hospital.
After some days, Dae Ju was sitting beside her holding her hand. She couldn't sit down properly. She was lying on the bed. Her face has turned pale and she couldn't talk properly.
"Take care of my son. Let him do whatever he wants. Don't be too harsh on him. Never let him feel lonely." she was out of breath and saying those words too slowly.
"I will! I will! I promise!" Dae Ju holds her hand tightly and said. Tears started falling from his eyes.
"I will wait for you," she said very slowly and after that, her voice stopped. Dae Ju stood up but he couldn't leave her hand even though she had gone. He can't accept that. He wants to hold her tightly and not let her go anywhere. She will stay with him, forever. But he couldn't do anything like that. He kept dropping his tears. All machines inside the room started making different sounds. They were announcing a death. Though he knows about it, he can't accept it.
[After one year]
"Oh, Hi! You came! We thought you would not come!" Jung Haeok said to Dae Ju. Nam Gil, Jung Haeok, Min Jae, Tae Ri, Cha Woon, Jong Goo, all of them were sitting inside a restaurant. They were having a party. It's a kind of reunion. Min Jae also came back from the military four days ago.
"I was missing you. How can I not come?" he replied and took a seat beside Nam Gil.
"Tell me about you. Wasn't it very hard?" he asked Min Jae.
"At first, it was hard but it wasn't after a few days." Min Jae understood and replied.
"I am afraid. I am the next." Nam Gil said.
"Hey! Don't be afraid! It's all right! Nothing is dangerous!" Dae Ju was consoling him.
"I am relieved!" he smiled being ashamed.
"How come you become that coward! You should keep some confidence in yourself!" Dae Ju shouted.
"Yes, I should. But not like you." Nam Gil replied. And hearing him, everyone else started laughing.
"HEY! You shouldn't say that!" Dae Ju was covering himself.
"By the way, how is Araf?" asked Jong Goo.
"He is fine!" Dae Ju said and sighed.
"Where is he now? Why didn't you take him here?" Tae Ri and Cha Woon asked together.
"He is with his aunt right now." Dae Ju replied.
"I miss him. I want to see him. Can I go with him after the party?" Tae Ri asked.
"I want to meet him too!" Cha Woon said.
"Okay, you guys can come." Dae Ju said and smiled.
"But, yesterday I saw you going to the mosque. Was that really you?" Jung Haeok was curious to know. He was going shopping and he noticed Dae Ju but Dae Ju didn't notice him. At that time he didn't say anything as Dae Ju was in a hurry.
"Hmm." Dae Ju replied slowly. If anyone follows him, he could find him in the mosque every day for five times. He learned to read the Quran and he read it every day like Lina used to read. Though he is not as good as her, he reads it regularly. He doesn't miss a single praytime.
"I listened to your new song. It was great! You never produced any song by yourself, right?" Min Jae asked and took some french fries.
"Yes, I was afraid if I was doing it right or not. Then I remembered about you. So, I called to help me." Dae Ju replied.
"How's the feeling about being a solo artist?" Nam Gil asked.
"I am new yet. So, I still feel nervous. And I have to take care of Araf too. So, I don't get much time." Dae Ju replied.
"Whenever you need us, you can call us. We will always be there for you." Jung Haeok said.
"I am writing a new song. Would you mind listening to it once? I would like to collaborate with you." Nam Gil said and looked at him. He took a sip from the cola and put it back.
"Sure! I'd love to!" Dae Ju replied.
"Hyung! Do you want to drink soju? We will grab a little drink. It's been a long time since we haven't grabbed a drink together." said Jong Goo.
"It's okay. You guys can carry on. I got a promise to keep." he smiled.
