Dae Ju ran to the place to find Lina but she was nowhere. The fair finished up by then. Everyone was on their way back to their home with their belongings. Dae Ju was still looking for her hoping that she was in the crowd but it's in vain. Though he wasn't able to find her, she will definitely know his voice. So he started to scream Lina's name. But she didn't reply to him.
[In another place while walking together]
"How did you know that I am here?" asked Lina.
"I didn't come here for you. I was just passing by there and seeing you there lonely I stopped," replied Kang Yeon Hoon. "Ah! I see! Then, how did you recognize me in that much crowd?" asked Lina curiously.
"Because of this face. How couldn't I recognize? There were just over a hundred people, I can recognize you if you are in the middle of a million people." said the boy softly.
"Oww! How sweet of you!" said Lina smilingly. She liked the boy. And she wishes that she had a small brother like him! But she didn't know that the boy doesn't like her as his elder sister. He just likes her personally.
"But, what would you do with all of these?" asked Lina being excited.
"I wanted to give something to my friends. And as I got these with a very low budget, I couldn't miss the chance." told the perfect lie with a big smile.
"Ah! You cheap jerk!" said Lina mockingly.
"Aigoo! My Noona can be bad mouthing! I can't believe it!" said the boy dramatically then start laughing loudly. They were walking to Lina's home. He wanted to give Lina company. Dae Ju was also on his way home. It wasn't that much time difference between them left the place. So, Dae Ju noticed them from far and followed them silently.
"What! Isn't he Yeon Hoon? What is he doing next to her? Then,.....No way! Are they dating? What's wrong with you Lina! You have a husband! You can't date other guys now! But, that brat! How could he date? Doesn't he know about the agency's policy? Dating is forbidden for him! He will be in serious trouble if anyone finds out! And also he put Lina in big trouble! I need to warn her." said Dae Ju to himself.
"But, what would you do with the money you earn if you like the cheap things?" asked Lina. The boy winked his one eye and pointed his finger at Lina. Seems like he has a big plan with these or he doesn't want to share this.
"Aish! That's my style! How could he use it? I will sue him!" said Dae Ju while hiding behind a big house. He couldn't understand that he was burning up inside. He couldn't bear her with him. But he couldn't help it.
"But, she is happy! She is laughing with him! Does she like him that much? Then, what about me?" said Dae Ju to himself. "Who are you?" asked a lady from inside the house. Dae Ju could not talk because he was afraid. So he ran away silently from there and stopped near a shop. He was watching over them from behind but as he was far from them he couldn't hear what they were talking about. But Lina seemed very happy with him so he thought he was her boyfriend. "Aish! Lina! How could you cheat on me! I mean your husband! I know you are not living a happy life with him but still, it's not fair!" Dae Ju said whisperingly. Though nobody listens to him, Lina turns back and checks something. Seeing that Dae Ju hid so that they weren't able to see him.
"What's wrong?" asked Yeon Hoon. The big box was still in his hand which he had been carrying with himself since they met in the fair. It was actually Lina's belongings which he just bought from her.
"Ah! It's nothing. I thought someone was following us." said Lina and smiled.
"Aish! Who would dare to follow us?" said the boy laughingly.
"Maybe your fan?" said Lina mockingly. "It could be your fan too!" he laughed again.
"No! Aish! Don't be ridiculous!" saying this Lina starts to laugh.
"Look! How they are laughing together! Hey! I will break those teeth if I get you someday! I swear!" said Dae Ju. When he was saying that he kicked on the ground and it hit the shop's wall.
"Ah! That hurt!" saying this he holds his leg and looks at his feet. When he controlled himself he continued his job but until then he lost them.
"Hey! Where did they go! Aish! I lost them!" said Dae Ju angrily and looked at his feet again. There was a vending machine beside him and seeing that he got thirsty. Since he lost all the money he couldn't buy a single can. He was walking very slowly as he lost all his energy. When he came home, he saw that Lina was frying beef. He was very angry with her but there was a nice aroma around Lina. He went to scold her but the nice smell of the beef made him hungry.
"Oh! You are here! Look! I bought them for you. You like them, right? Wash yourself and come to the living room." said Lina gently. She still has a smiling face. Seeing her like this and hearing her sweet voice, Dae Ju couldn't say a single word.
"Yes, But did you sell all of them?" asked Dae Ju.
"Yes, I couldn't sell one single item all day long. But one customer saved me. He brought all of them." said Lina. "Does one customer buy them all?" Dae Ju acted like he was surprised but actually he knows very well because he saw the carton on Yeon Hoon's hand and at that moment he could guess what happened between them.
"But, why? He must be close to you then?" asked Dae Ju curiously.
"No, He came to my salon two to three times," said Lina normally.
"Ah! Is that so? Then isn't it suspicious to you?" asked Dae Ju mockingly. But Lina didn't hear him well and she continued, "And do you know he is an idol!" said Lina whisperingly.
"Ah! Really! How lucky you are! But, why did he buy all of them?" said Dae Ju mockingly. He actually wanted to know the truth from her.
"He said that he will give them to his friends," said Lina gently. She couldn't understand what Dae Ju was trying to say.
"Oh! Really! But why does he buy only from you?" said Dae Ju loudly and he continued to mock her.
"What's wrong with you today? Are you drunk?" asked Lina being surprised.
"No. I am not drunk. I am just....." saying this far Dae Ju has to stop. There was a strange sound coming from his stomach.
"Ah! I am hungry!" saying this he left for the washroom. When he was washing his face, he realized that he is changing slowly. His habits are changing. And also his feelings are changing. He wasn't like that. He is turning to this guy! If it's not true then why he was feeling like it's hurting when he saw her with another guy. Why did he scold her and keep saying those things! Indeed, he always scolds his younger brothers whenever they do something wrong but this time, it's not his own style. He is a different person now. But if things are going on like this it would be a big mess and he will not be able to fix this. So, he thinks that he has to protect his own personality, his own habits, his own image and also his own feelings. So he determined that he will go now and apologize to Lina. When he came downstairs, Lina was arranging the dishes on the table. Two small bowls of rice, two small bowls filled with broth, a plate full of soy sauce, and a pan of stir-fried beef. He sat on a chair and started eating the beef. Lina also came and sat on a chair. Dae Ju was hesitating because he had to say sorry. He never hesitates to say sorry but it's feeling strange this time! He couldn't say the simple words.
"The thing is...." saying this he stopped. "What?" asked Lina while eating.
"About earlier...." he stopped again.
"I understand. But I can't give you the money since I already spent half of it," said Lina.
"What! I wasn't going to say that!" surprised Dae Ju.
"Then what?" asked Lina.
"About the boy," said Dae Ju hesitatingly. "Which boy?" asked Lina simply without looking at him.
"Yeon Hoon. Who was with you a while ago and....." he couldn't continue because Lina starts talking.
"How could you know that? I didn't tell you his name!" said Lina.
"Ah! I just, you know, saw you with him," said Dae Ju hesitatingly.
"What? You were stalking me?" surprised Lina.
"No! Why would I stalk you! I just saw you by chance, nothing else!" said Dae Ju in his style. Then he put a big spoon of rice with meat and looked at another way.
"I wonder when you start to care about me that much!" said Lina. She still couldn't believe that he would do such a thing.
"I told you I was not following you! I just saw you by accident. Did I make a sin by that? Why are you overreacting?" said Dae Ju loudly.
"I am overreacting?" saying this Lina smiled. But it was an angry smile.
"Yes, of course! Because you are trying to cover your guilt, isn't it?" said Dae Ju and looked at her.
"What guilt? What are you talking about now? Are you drunk? You seem fine earlier!" surprised Lina.
"Don't assume that I don't know anything about you and Yeon Hoon. Fine! You can go with him! I don't need you anyway! I will be gone within a few days!" said Dae Ju by mocking but he was angry when he was saying this.
"What! Are you crazy or what! He is five years younger than me!" astonished Lina.
"So what? Can't he date his elders? I saw how romantic time you were spending with him!" said Dae Ju more loudly. He was turning red out of anger. He came to apologize to her but things aren't going according to his plan.
"What did you just say? How could you say such things! Isn't it too much! I thought you changed but I was wrong! You know what? You can never trust me. And you don't have to. I know what I am and what I am doing. So, please don't butt in my life. I am satisfied with my life!" said Lina with tearful eyes and a broken voice. Then she looked up and said again, "What did I do to you? Why you still don't like me? Why don't you take me from this burden? Are you happy to see me like this? If you are happy, then fine! I will live like this until you don't like me." Tears were falling from her eyes and she wiped her eyes with a hand and left from there. Dae Ju felt guilty and he couldn't say anything. He was sitting like a statue. He couldn't eat though he was hungry. The food wasn't going down through his throat. He also went to his room and lied on the bed. He was thinking about them all day. It was really a strange day. At first, he discovered that he was in a dead body. He doesn't know how this guy died and which evil was inside him until he came. Then he realized that he is involved in their lives and if he wants to get out of this hell he has to help the girl(Lina). Then when he searched for her and watched her with another boy he doesn't know why but he felt like he was losing something. And when he faced her, he scolds her about that. He didn't want to but he just couldn't control himself. And the final thing when he went to apologize, he just couldn't make it and create another scene.
"This is strange! Everything is strange! I feel like I am a comic character!" said Dae Ju slowly and sighed. Then he thought about his actual life. It was different. He always did what he wanted to. So many people could lean on him and by the time he can lean on them. If he feels bored or down they come to him immediately. Every staff member, even their producer, was very close to him. That's why he doesn't have to be worried much nowadays. But now he is 30. His birthday went on some days ago. What will he do after going back? He has to go to the military for at least one year. After that, he wasn't able to join the team anymore. He has to find another path.
"What should I do now? I miss my mom too much!" said Dae Ju disappointedly. He was known as Mommy's boy in his band. He never stayed that long without talking or meeting his mom. So, he took his phone to call her. Though she couldn't recognize him, he could at least hear her voice.
