A desperate struggle

He drug me into the elevator, the doors shutting behind us. His too white suit was covered in dirt and splashed with blood. My body still ached, the air in the room staled, like it had been sucked out. "Uncle, you don't want to do this."
"Oh but I do! I want to see the look on that bitch's face when I introduce her to her vampyre child—" His eyes burned, the hatred pouring from him—even my semi-vampyre sense could smell it.
The doors closed behind me as he wrenched my hand to the touch pad. "Oh come on, Nephew! Play along! I promise—it will be a riot."
The doors shut as the elevator roared to life; my heart burst in my chest, the grief of my failure nearly knocking me over. "You can't do this!" I pulled my arm away, tucking it close to me. "Uncle, you have to see the flaw in your plan!"
