Poor idiot. He looked completely defeated, wallowing in his pain.
We spent most of the time in silence, him skimming through books faster than I could get through a chapter; I felt like I missed out on the good traits of vampyres and got stuck with this uncontrollable demon instead.
Well—At least that is what I thought.
Now, Vincent is convinced what we are dealing with has nothing to do with me, but instead, it is the shadow of his former child. Not only is he convinced, but he's blaming himself for everything. I wasn't so sure myself. It just didn't add up, I started having issues with my control before his kid would have been created—let alone dead.
