Misguided feelings
Ms. Pattison made it sound like a big deal. I had a hard time thinking my sweet little boy would 'do inappropriate' things, ever; let alone with 5 little girls. I wanted to bring Kavi with me, but I knew she was still reeling from finally seeing that monster for what he is, a fucking monster. I would venture to guess she was secretly relieved that I didn't ask her to go either.
By 'get baked' I knew she meant smoke and wallow in her sadness. Despite all of the changes in her life, this was the one thing I knew would not change. She needed time to feel her feelings.
And I had to give it to her.
