Kavielle POV
Drew had disappeared for a moment. The room was much too silent. He didn't say anything after I dropped that bomb on him. We both moved away awkwardly. I sat silently on the other side of the couch, wishing I could rewind by like 2 minutes, so I would just keep my fucking mouth shut!
Who does something like that?!
He emerged from the kitchen, and he joined me on the couch, sitting down with me as he pressed an ice pack over my eye. "Why are you so popular since you came back? Seems like everyone is lining up to punch you." He chuckled, the deep set dimples poking out; the air in the room was still thick.
"Just that kind of popular, I guess." I stared him down, hoping to avoid answering the real question.
He smirked, wiping a bit of blood off my lip with his thumb. "Can I ask you a question? And promise to be honest with me." I nodded, and he continued. "Did you read the letter I wrote you?"
