"Are you fucking serious? We already covered this, Vincent has no connection to Madison's disappearance."
He crossed his arms, his face stern. "Let me find that out for myself. Him and I have some business to discuss." He was sure of himself on this, but it didn't make sense to me.
"You never said his name before." I stared him down, trying to get the truth from him.
He smiled, opening the door and getting in. I joined him, he fired up the car. "Well, you weren't ready to trust me with the truth, so I didn't trust you either."
We pulled out, heading back towards the city. "He wouldn't lie to me." I added, waiting for a response.
The ride was silent for a long while. The look on his face went from anxious to anger. "He's a demon, Ka—" he paused. "Cecelia." He was frustrated, gripping the wheel tightly. "Please don't tell me you trust him?"
