A storied legacy
Both of the men walked in hesitantly, looking around my apartment in awe. I was a collector of sorts. Magical artifacts quickly took my apartment over. It looked like something out of a museum; glass displays, bookshelves and pedestals arranged in perfect rows. Scrolls encased in glass, displayed on the stark white walls, each one lit for display. This was my way of connecting with the person I supposedly was.
This was my way of understanding the power that has wrought destruction on my life.
They wandered, looking closely a few times. I, though, disappeared around the counter to grab a cup of coffee; the espresso maker hissing loudly, causing them both to jump scare. "Just the machine; you two are awfully timid for PIs." I laughed at them, making them both grimace.
"You are an interesting lady." Dimitri murmured his attention on the scroll of Akmetu; from this distance, it looked like he was actually reading it.
