Tying things together
Vincent POV
Her anger dug into my soul; I couldn't let go of this feeling of rejection. Somehow, I thought if I brought back her memories, she would want to stay at my side. Instead, she was upset with what I had done. Simply foolish! There was no explanation in this world that made it okay in her eyes. You took something away from her and thought she was would be grateful?
If she knew what it meant, I thought she would change her mind, but I took her choice away.
Now, I had to find a way if the child she was carrying was indeed mine or if her mortal lover was the father. With all of the magical spells known to us, most of them required participation of the subject and they had to be magical themselves. Things like this were not used on mortals, again the consequences could be dire.
But, would it be worth her life?
Yes.
