Kavielle POV
When I turned, light blinded me for a moment, and when I could see again. Everything was clear. The world was in motion again; the noises of the city returned, like I had just walked into it.
"Vincent." I whispered, dumbfounded. My head pounded suddenly; causing me to press my palm to my forehead.
He looked concerned, holding my hands to keep me steady. "My darling."
My mind swam with all of these memories jumbled together. Bits and pieces of things that contradicted each other. These feelings swept over me, and I jumped into his arms. I was angry, but I was so overwhelmed with happiness, it didn't matter. I remembered how he saved me, and I tried to return the favor. How it felt when he drank from me…
"Kavielle, my dear. I'm so sorry." He choked on his emotions; his magical strength holding me in place.
"What happened? Why was I—" Reality of the situation starting to set in.
