The touch of death
Madison POV
She had stopped responding, my heart galloped suddenly, fear taking over. No, she was fine, just being stubborn… But panic set in, unable to control myself I shook the handle rapidly, beating my palm against the door, "Kavi, please say something!"
I ran to the living room, madly digging through the drawer, locating the house keys. They seemed so heavy, the burden on them in my hand caused me to shake. I ran back to her door, shakily trying different keys, tears blurred my vision, this feeling of dread growing, I yelled out again, "please Kavi!"
The key slid in, the door handle turning. I shoved the door open. Nothing seemed out of the ordinary. I screamed again, "Kavi! Where are you?" I took a few steps in. Looking towards the bathroom, I saw her feet. I wanted to run to her, but I was stuck in place. I sobbed, "Ka—vvvvi?" I was too late…
