Earthly distractions
After our day at the spa, I was more tense than I was before. Madison was so content and relaxed, she fell asleep as soon as we got home. I was happy to be able to give her this comfort, even if I couldn't find my own. Somehow I was investing in her happiness since mine was so far away.
I sat at my computer screen again, not able to find any more words to describe the feelings, I fell asleep at some point. I awoke to the sound of music playing in the distance, the sunlight burning my eyes. Looking at the clock, it was almost 3pm already. Damn it, I have to get ready!
I rushed to the shower, making sure to rub down my body with essential oils, hopefully keep the pleasant scent in. Nothing too strong, I hoped it would be enough to stimulate someone to want to take me home. I didn't bother with my hair, I made sure to avoid getting it wet so my keratin treatment would continue to perfectly tame my frizz.
