You came in like a blood-stained hurricane
I woke up later to the sound of my phone vibrating. When I picked it up, it was my alarm. Fuck, I had to get ready and go to work.
Damn, I was in a full body hangover. My muscles ached, my stomach churned and head felt like it was being beat with a hammer. I made it to the bathroom, looking at myself in the mirror, the split lip had healed, the skin just a shade lighter in the spot where it was. The bruises and marks all be gone, it felt nice, for once, to have magical healing abilities.
Now if only the rest of body would catch up.
I walked into the living room, Madison was laid out on the couch, a large vase of flowers in front of her. Well, I think I wasn't the only one who had a good night after all. I shook her leg, "I have to head to work, you okay?"
