Moments of delusion

When she pulled away from me, screaming, I knew that something was seriously wrong with the woman I loved. No amount of love, or due diligence as going to heal the mental wounds she still carried; no matter how hard I attempted to will it into existence, she was never going to be whole until she healed.
People rushed to us, thinking I had done something foul; trying to calm her. She lashed out, refusing to let anyone touch her. She stared at me but seemed to be looking through me. Her hazel eyes looked almost black; seeming she was not in this moment.
Pushing the others away from her, "She's having a mental breakdown." I said, sure of myself, "Someone call an ambulance." Her eyes still glazed, dark than normal, she seemed to be staring at something not there. Her lips moving without words…
