Emily
After a *cough* eventful car ride, we made it to my parent's house. Ian lives in a two-story house with my mom. He's taking good care of her and putting her first. When we knocked on the door, Ian is the one who answers. A big smile brightened his face.
He engulfs me in a hug before I could even say 'hi'. He must've been worried about me. I felt Ian's body stiffen. He broke the hug and looked behind me. That's right...the freak is with me.
"Ian," I called, getting his attention. "Where's mom?"
"She's in the living room," he responded. "We were watching a movie when I heard the door."
I nodded and then walked past Ian inside. I heard footsteps behind me as I entered the living space. There, on the couch with a bowl of popcorn on her lap, was my mother.
"Mom!" I exclaimed.
Her head snapped toward me. She jumped to her feet and ran over to me. The bowl of popcorn becoming a scattered mess on the floor was the least of our worries. I'm holding my mother again. I held her as tight as I could.
"I'm back, mom," I whispered.
I heard her choke out a laugh. She gazed into my eyes and then moved some hair out of my face. "I was so worried."
Tears were falling from her eyes. I felt bad that I worried her. At the ceremony, she was as white as a ghost. Thankfully, she was OK now.
She pulled back and took my face in her hands. "Oh, my baby girl," she cried. "You're not hurt, right?"
Before I could answer, a loud growl erupted from behind me. I turned around to see Zyair, looking furious.
"Mother-in-law, are you suggesting that I would hurt my amore?" He gritted.
"No, she isn't!" I replied, standing defensively in front of my mother. "She was just worried or have you forgotten about the scene you caused at the ceremony?"
Zyair began to relax. He watched me with hooded eyes before turning his gaze to my mother. "Emily is correct," he began. "I'm terribly sorry for the commotion I and worry I caused you. I was instinct to mark my amore at that moment. I hope you can find it in your heart to forgive me?"
I blinked. This guy really knew how to charm people. I looked back at my mother then at Ian who also looked at us. He made his way to my mother and held her close to himself.
"Your majesty," Ian began, taking a deep breath. "We know that things are different for Lycans. We also know that we cannot stop you from taking Emily away. This is something we discussed after the night of the ceremony. And we both agree that as long as Emily is safe and happy, then we have nothing to worry about."
I could feel the tense atmosphere. Ian wanted to make sure I was alright, and it was fair. But for Zyair, it sounded like they were questioning his ability to take care of his amore. Ian was questioning whether or not Zyair was a good man. I saw the slight twitch in Zyair's lip, and his jaw clenched.
I really hope he doesn't mad. Bad things happen when people get mad...especially Lycans.
"Father-in-law, I appreciate your concern, but I cab assure you that Emily will be happy with me. I will take care of her, and no matter what happens, I will treasure her."
I felt my cheeks heat. Wanna know why? Because he was staring at me the whole time he said that. His eyes showed how serious he was. That seriousness showed how much he cared about me. I felt my heart skip a beat.
I turned my gaze to Ian and my mother. I guess they saw my red face too. They both broke into smiles and embraced me in a hug.
We spent the rest of the talking. I explained where I lived in case they wanted to visit. Ian was adamant about making sure I was okay. He may not be my birth father, but he's father enough for me. Each time I assured him I was fine. My mother made fun of him for worrying. Saying that her daughter could handle anything. Before I knew it, it was nighttime, and Zyair was dragging me back to the apartment. We had stayed for dinner which seemed to be enough for my amore. I managed to get some of my clothes too before we left.
He told my parents how he would send them gifts later. I gave the two of them a big hug before leaving. Mom also told me to check in with Theodore. Aunt Cheryl wasn't really worried, but Theo was another story. He was freaking out, and he's been calling mom and Aunt Cheryl to figure out if I was alright. Given, that I do have a phone, I lost it the night I collapsed at the ceremony. Aunt Cheryl must have it. I have to visit her some time to get it back.
As we sat in the car, Zyair tried to put the moose on me. I ignored him the whole time even though my body said otherwise. When we got home, I had to ask him to let me see Theo. I know I can just teleport there without worry, but I won't do that to him. I don't want to do things behind his back. Of course, if he says 'no', then I will teleport there the moment he does.
We walked through the hallway to our room. I'm still on the fence about that, but I know he won't do anything....I think...
He closed the door behind us. "Listen, I want to ask you something," I began, turning to him.
"What is it, my amore?" he asked, placing his hands on my waist.
"I need to go to the university."
"Why?" I could hear the anger starting to build in his voice.
Welp, let her rip! "I need to see Theo."
His hands tightened around my waist. "No," he deadpanned.
"Why?" I asked.
"Because I don't want you to," he answered, planting feather-like kisses on my neck.
They felt good, and I knew what he was doing. He was trying to distract me. For some reason, he's jealous of Theo, even though we don't have that kind of relationship. His lips were so soft as he continued all over my neck. I could feel his hands move lower until he reached my thigh.
"I-I need to see Theo," I repeated.
He then grabbed my upper thigh with his strong hand. He lifted and planted it on his waist. His lips continued their exploration.
"Theodore is worried about me," I continued, trying not to moan. "I haven't seen him or talked to him since the ceremony. I need to make sure he's ok."
Zyair's hand grabbed my other thigh and placed it on his waist as well. Before I knew it, my back was pressed against the wall with his hands stroking my thighs and lips still messing with my neck.
"I-I k-know what you're doing," I panted.
"Hm?" he asked, innocently.
"You're not going to make me change-change my mind."
He pressed his body closer to mine. At that moment, I felt it. His...mini self....and boy, was it hard.
