"What?" Charlotte exclaimed. "Someone attempted to poison Suzanne?"
"Yes, Your Grace," the maidservant confirmed.
Concern etched across Charlotte's face. "Is Suzanne alright? I must see her."
"Your Grace, Prince Damien administered the treatment to Princess Suzanne promptly. It appears she had an allergic reaction, but she's stable now," the maidservant reassured her.
Despite the reassurance, Charlotte felt compelled to visit Suzanne herself. She ventured out and encountered Charles, whom she promptly asked about the situation.
"I was the one who initially discovered it, Your Grace," Charles informed her. "Is Her Grace going somewhere?" he inquired.
"To see Suzanne," Charlotte answered.
"Pardon me, Your Grace, but Princess Suzanne is sleeping. I'm coming from there only. Prince Damien has assured everyone that his wife is out of danger. His Grace is back and he will be here soon." Thus, Charles prevented her from going ahead.
