Rainard reached Ramiro's mansion and went to the room, where Tove was present. As he pushed the door open, he saw Tove was seated on the chaise, waiting for him.
As the door opened, Tove's gaze shifted there and she stood up. She saw a worried expression on Rainard's face and asked him if his parents didn't agree.
In silence, Rainard positioned himself before her. Tove spoke, her voice tinged with a sense of disillusionment, "I fear that our relationship may not have reached the level of strength we hoped for, given the enduring resentment from your parents."
Rainard tenderly clasped her hands in his own. "My parents desire our presence at home," he declared softly, "They envision you as their future daughter-in-law and my wife."
A smile blossomed on Rainard's lips, while Tove remained momentarily stunned. Eventually, she found her voice and asked, "Is it true?"
