While having lunch, Charlotte noticed that Édouard stopped eating in the middle. She placed the spoon down and asked him what happened.
"My both fathers cared for me. While one handed me away because of his love but never stopped sending his love for me, the other always saw me as his pride. I always thought my father, the King, never thought about me. However, I was wrong, Charlotte. You were right. I never tried to understand him," Édouard asserted. He told Charlotte how much it hurt him when he listened to Christian.
"Do you want to do something for the King?" Charlotte asked him.
"Yes. I never did anything for him with my heart. I want to be a good son to him," Édouard stated.
"You are one. I saw earlier," Charlotte said.
