Suzanne looked at Josef through the window of her room and then at the happy faces of her mother and brother. With each passing second, her nervousness kept increasing. She had the fear that Damien might not be able to stop her marriage, and she was too scared to take the step of running away.
"Miss, we should go down."
Suzanne heard the voice of the female servant and hummed. She walked out of the room and realized she was going near her death. She did not want to trample on her own freedom.
As she reached downstairs, she found her mother was waiting for her to take her outside.
Leticia held the arm of her daughter gently and told her they should go outside.
"Mama, can you please not make me engage with him?" Suzanne requested her mother.
"You shouldn't say this, Suzanne," Leticia said.
Suzanne sighed and angrily walked ahead. Leticia furrowed her brows together when Joss came to her and asked her why Suzanne looked furious.
"Nothing. Let's go out," Leticia said.
