Suzanne found out from her mother that Joss had gone to see Damien to bring the journal back. "Now, have a seat and have breakfast. We need to go to the shop to bring a beautiful dress for you," Mrs. Barnard said.
Suzanne took backward steps which her mother noticed. "Mama, do breakfast without me," she said and ran out to stop her eldest brother, Joss Barnard from meeting Damien.
Suzanne rode the horse to the palace and the palace guards let her in since they knew she was the daughter of the late renowned Earl of Escana.
She hopped off the horse and ran to see Damien. Several servants' eyes fell on him including Igor. "Was she Suzanne Barnard?" Igor murmured.
Suzanne gasped for air as she reached the drawing room where she found Joss with Damien. She saw Damien had handed the journal to Joss and she strode to him. Without wasting any second, Suzanne snatched the journal from her brother, who was shocked to see her there.
