"Why did His Majesty permit Édouard to investigate the fire incident in which Philip and Katherine lost their lives?" Anneliese asked after she put the fork on the plate. She dabbed her mouth with thd napkin and placed it next to the plate. Lifting her eyelids, she glanced at Christian, who also had finished the meals.
The servants came forward to clean the table while the King began the conversation.
"Damien thinks it was me who killed his parents," Christian said. "Also, it is not hidden to anyone in the palace how close Édouard is to him after Damien saved Charlotte's life," he opined. The servant handed the glass of water to him, and he took a few sips before continuing.
"Why is the Queen scared? Does she fear Édouard may start treating her coldly upon finding her relationship with Philip?" Christian's question angered Anneliese. They were at it again.
