The next day, Charlotte woke up with a slight headache. She felt tired but she could not sleep more. Even after staying in the hot water bathtub, her tiredness did not go. Édouard had left to see Kenric after having breakfast with Charlotte.
Since the engagement ceremony was in the afternoon, Zoe came to the chamber after a while to help Charlotte get ready.
"Today it will be the first ball of Her Grace with the Duke. Is she excited?" She asked with enthusiasm.
"I am nervous," Charlotte answered.
"There is nothing to be nervous about, Your Grace," Zoe said with a smile and asked her if she should tighten the corset more.
"No. It is fine this way," Charlotte opined. "I do not want to suffocate with a tight corset," she murmured.
Zoe hummed and helped Charlotte wear that gown.
