Charlotte opened her mouth to speak, but words didn't come out of her mouth. She blinked finally and found Édouard's hand moved to her face.
His hand rested on her cheek while the other one stayed around her waist.
Charlotte felt his warm breath falling over her lips as he was too close to her. She knew what he wanted next to happen, but she was hesitant to give it. She could not get physical with him in any way when she herself wasn't aware of her feelings for him. Perhaps he was too good to her and she started to find comfort in his companionship.
"Édouard, let me go," she finally said. That proximity was making her anxious.
However, Édouard didn't. He stroked his thumb over her cheek. "Do you not like my presence around you? Do you not like when I hold you, get close to you?" He asked.
"You know my answers," Charlotte replied.
"I feel they have changed now. Your eyes say everything," Édouard stated.
"What do they say?" Charlotte inquired.
