In the first week of December, Mr. Hokama finally returned from his business trip. He came back on Saturday afternoon.
The first thing the middle-aged man did was heading the apartment building. He gifted Mrs. Saeki a few paper bags of various items, much to the latter's surprise.
Just because their relationship was already known to Heisuke, Mr. Hokama grew bolder than before.
Mrs. Saeki couldn't say no to his enthusiasm. All the gifts were chosen with her in mind, something that deeply touched Mrs. Saeki.
"I'm not sure what you'd love... so, I picked the ones I think suitable for you."
Mr. Hokama had a blush on his chubby cheeks when he said that. The same pink color dusted on Mrs. Saeki's face.
Heisuke was not at home when the former dropped by for the short visit. As usual, he spent his time at Hisaki's apartment. They had lunch together with Mrs. Saeki before the lovebirds were left to be alone.
