That night, Mrs. Saeki only returned home at a quarter before eleven. She was a bit distracted to realize that Heisuke didn't ask much about why she was late.
After washing up, she immediately went to bed.
As for Heisuke, he didn't rush in asking his mother about what he saw before. From how she appeared after coming home, it seemed as if she was drowned in heavy thoughts.
"Give your mom time. I'm sure she just wants to think it through before telling you."
Hisaki's advice never failed to soothe Heisuke. He also shared the same view with her.
Heisuke knew how his mother was. Right now, he would just pretend that he didn't know anything.
Not long after, the first week of November arrived. It was also the time when Hisaki's parents would come.
