The outing between the mother and son ended amicably. Both of them returned home after getting some yummy cakes for Hisaki.
Mrs. Saeki openly said that she enjoyed the time she spent with Heisuke, which delighted the young man. He also thought that it would be fine to have such an outing again with his mother in the future.
As scheduled, the lorry came to deliver the purchased goods at five o'clock. Heisuke and Hisaki helped Mrs. Saeki to unwrap everything. The pure joy that was reflected in the older lady's eyes was something that couldn't be replicated.
"I'll use your old futon to pad mine," Heisuke brought out his mother's previous futon from the bedroom, leaving Mrs. Saeki and Hisaki to settle down the new one.
Hisaki reached out for a pillow. She carefully put on a clean pillow sheet. It was so comfortable and fluffy to the touch.
