The second Heisuke walked out of the gate, a shadow suddenly emerged from the gate. Startled, he unconsciously stopped in his track and even took a step back. One of his hands moved forward on instinct.
"Who?" Heisuke almost barked in shock.
"Heisuke, may we speak again?"
The moment Heisuke saw the face of the person in front of him, the surprise changed into disgust. His pupils dilated, his brows wrinkled, showing his aversion.
"...what are you doing here?"
Heisuke had just comforted himself with the idea that after Kousuke left the town, they might not cross paths again. It was a pity that he never really considered that the latter would reappear in front of him, maybe to seek forgiveness and reconcile.
No. It was not that Heisuke didn't think of the possibility. He just didn't want to entertain the idea.
"I've told you not to show yourself in front of me again," Spitting out the words, Heisuke tried so hard to restrain his anger.
