Heh, This is intresting.
It appears that I have a Shipwright and chef already.
So when we set sail, I won't have to worry about food or maintenance of whatever vessel we're on.
As I'm thinking this, there's a knock on the door and a man taller than the door bends over to get through the the doorway.
When he stands back in an upright posture, he is roughly 7 foot tall. He has a dirty, white tank top on with the top half of his denim overalls hanging over a large black belt that's holding the bottom part against his waiste and a pair of huge boots on his feet.
He has a relatively big belly, but the muscles on his large, hairy and tanned arms are incredibly defined. His neck is covered by his lustrous curly, black mane and beard that is tied into multiple well kept ponytails.
His eyes are tiny and his eyebrows are extremely bushy. He has a large nose and fat pink lips.
He has the most stereotypical Viking look that I've ever seen in my life.
In awe, I subconsciously activate
The status window appears next to this monster of a man.

I'm in awe at what I'm seeing on this window and I'm dumbfounded, but I am also a bit confused as to why there are question marks on his attributes, when suddenly, another window appears above the initial one.
~Description~
Unable to completely appraise due to user's low sum of Per and Wis.
I guess that explains the question marks.
So if I want to be able to see his stats, I'll have to increase my Perception and Wisdom attributes. How much I have to improve them by, I won't know until I reach the amount needed. I think I have some things that I can add to my routine that can help.
As I'm thinking this, he looks down at me sporting a gigantic smile. It's Oliver's but way bigger. I see where he gets it from.
"You must be Chaz, Oliver's told me quite a bit about you.", he says with a powerful and deep raspy voice.
"Yes, I am. You must be Oliver's father. It's good to meet you sir."I responded.
"GOGOGO. You can just call me Vlad", he says.
"So, what do you think of the place? Sure it's not my best work, but I do hope it's to your liking."
"It is, the craftsmanship and metalwork is astounding" I say.
Vlad looks at me with a bit of a shocked expression.
"You're an interesting kid. GOGOGOGO", he says.
"Anyway, Oliver. I need you to deliver some tools."Vlad says.
"Sure thing pops." Oliver responds before asking me if I'd like to go with him.
"No thank you. I just need a bit of time to get used to my new abode", I reply.
"Ok then. See you later" Oliver says as he runs through the door and his father slowly follows behind, closing the door on his way out.
I scrutinise the room.
There is a single bed in the middle of the room with it's headboard against the far wall, opposite the door. It has 4 windows covered by nice white curtains;
1 above the headboard, 1 next to the wardrobe that is to the left of the bed, 1 is a small window above the door and the other is above a cupboard that has a sink. To the right of the sink, adjacent to the door is a a 2 plate gas stove and on the opposite side is a small desk with a set of 3 drawers to the right and a lamp on top of it.
They really thought about everything. The only thing that isn't here is a toilet. Considering this is a village, there are probably toilet booths scattered around the place.
I lay on the bed
Anyway, about Mr.Vlad's status window. His stats were so high that I couldn't see his attributes.
He also had Presence sensing Observation Haki and Imbuement Armament Haki. Though both are basic and are at a low level, meaning he didn't train them. Heck, he's probably even oblivious to the fact he even has them. Like Luffy when fighting Mr.3 and his clones.
Ultimately, that doesn't change the fact that he has them, meaning he's probably been in a few run-ins in his life, which explains why his attributes are so much higher than average people.
Now, to increase my perception, I have an idea. I'm not sure whether or not it'll work, but what if I were to walk around with my eyes closed and try use all my other senses to assess my surroundings?
There's probably going to be a lot of tripping and faceplanting, but it should work in improving my senses exponentially. Almost the same way blind people develop an incredible sense of touch. Maybe if my perception gets high enough, I may even awaken Observation Haki.
I'm so tired, I need to sleep, but it's still morning. Should I start working on it now?
I close my eyes and take a deep breath. I slowly make my way off the bed.
I slowly make my way to the door with my hands ahead of me.
I get to the door and feel my way to the doorknob. It's cold and smooth, I can almost feel its every detail, even though it's just a sphere.
I open the door and suddenly, a very gentle breeze envelopes my body. It's something that I would never notice under normal circumstances.
I take a light breath and I can smell how fresh the natural, unpolluted air is- I've only experienced this a handful of times back on Earth, but it was never this clean.
My ears hear a very low, continuous "whoosh".
I can feel that my senses are working double-time, I can even get a slight taste and texture of the saliva in my mouth combining with the pure air I'm breathing.
Suddenly a status window appears in the pool of darkness and red that my eyes perceive.
Per: 10->14
What? Already? Hehe. Some more of this and I might awaken HAKI. Nah, I probably need way more.
So I take a few steps around the compound. It's not long before I trip on a rock and fall to my knees.
I continue slowly walking around for 4 hours. I obviously had my fair share of falls, but...
Per: 14->16
...it was worth it. I raised my Perception by 6 in 4 hours. Though it does seem like the more it increases, the longer the time it will take to increase and there will be less returns. Of course, that's just how reality is, the better you are at something, the harder it is to improve.
I guess I'm done with that for today, Let me check out my stats.

Wow. I've grown quite a lot on my 1st day, but I know that I'm gonna need to work harder constantly.
It seems like I can now appraise any attribute with 25 and less now because of my perception's increase. Maybe I can see more of Vlad's stats now?
I head towards the shop. I slowly open the door and notice that nobody's at the counter which is to the left of the door. It designed similarly to the inn, but instead of the area across the counter looking like a restaurant, it has shelves and boards that hold tools and some weapons and armour. It seems that the people of this village hunt as well.
And instead of the stairs going upstairs, they go down.
'Does he trust the people of the village this much?', I think to myself.
I suddenly hear subtle, consecutive "Clang"s coming from down the stairs. I tiptoe down, the sound gets louder the closer I get.
I get to the bottom, and in front of the staircase is a door which is slightly opened.
I look through the small opening and see Vlad in a room filled with smoke. The air coming out of the room is excessively warm.
I see his incredibly toned, muscular back as he stands by a huge anvil. His right arm raises and there's a large metal mallet in his hand. He draws the mallet behind his shoulder before suddenly swinging it forward and producing a loud "CLANG!!".
The intervals between each sound are extremely short, and consistently on point. Never missing a beat, he continues this with ease, as if the mallet has no weight at all.
Encapsulated by this beautiful sight, I think:'
