A teenager runs up the stairs of the dorm complex with excitement. Completely forgetting that there is an elevator.
"It's today, FINALLY!", he thinks to himself.
He stops on the 5th floor, where his dorm is.
He's exhausted from climbing 4 flights of stairs.
He catches his breath for a few seconds before blitzing to his door all the way across the corridor and enters in a rush.
{1 Hour later}
The young man jumps on his bed and goes through his phone, thinking "Today is finally the day, the day where Shounen Jump release the final chapter of my long-time favourite manga, ONE PIECE", With a huge smile on his face.
"I've made sure that I have done everything that needs to be done for this to be the last thing I see today. I've cleaned the house, eaten, maintained my knife collection and practiced my Muay Thai." He thought
*He begins to read the chapter on his phone*
{30 minutes later}
With a sparkle in his eyes, he was in awe. With almost a childlike look, he places his phone down on his bedside table.
After having analysed every panel, he has just witnessed the end of one of the greatest phenomenons to grace the comic book and literary world and the most masterful writing he had ever seen.
"So that's how it ends, huh?" he thinks to himself
as a tear runs down his cheek while having the biggest smile probably anyone has ever seen.
He leans back into his bed, closes his eyes, ready to sleep when he has a thought. "What if I were to live in the world of One Piece and experience that ending?"
He chuckles, "If only" before falling asleep.
He gets flashbacks of the adventures Luffy, the StrawHats and their friends had with him behind a screen, witnessing every moment.
[1st Person]
You're probably wondering, "Who is this young One Piece Superfan?". Well, it's me. Chaz Roland before I was sent 'Here'.
I opened my eyes and all I could see was bright light. I had to cover my eyes. I see a silhouette standing in front of me. I couldn't make out who it was because my vision hadn't adapted to the lighting yet.
As my vision got clearer, I saw a chubby man in a fancy black tuxedo standing in front of me. He's about the same height as me, 6'0/183cm or so. I looked at his face, a Japanese man in his late 40's or early 50's with a cute smile.
It's a smile I'd recognise anywhere. It belongs to a man that I've idolised for nearly 8 years of my short life. In shock and excitement, I yelled:"EICHIRO ODA!?!?"
He looked at me and laughed. A laughed I had seen numerous times in his interviews.
"This is the BEST DREAM EVER! It feels so real." I said.
"Well then young one, it isn't a dream", he responds
I grin and reply with a disheartened: "I wish"
"Then your wish has come true", he says.
"Excuse me?" I say, confused.
"This is an alternate space, I am Eichiro Oda and I have summoned you here because I want to give you the experience that you've wanted for a long time now.", he said as he floats around me
Suddenly a humongous prize wheel appears in front of me. It has about 100 small sections with one of those small pointy things on the top.
I ask him :"What is going on?"
He replies:"I am about to give you the opportunity to live in the world that I created-The world of One Piece- and this wheel will determine when in the timeline, where in the world and with what you will go with."
I'm in awe as I finally understand."So almost like one of those isekai manga and anime, but this wheel determines what state I reincarnate in?" I say.
"Exactly!" he says."As you know, my story has a timeline of 1000s of years, so I will limit it to between the time Roger is born and the end of the story, so as to not to make it too hard for you to survive."
"I understand" I say
"Now!" He says as he spins the wheel, "When will you be? Haha"
The wheel slows down and comes to a complete stop at the slot that is written '7 years before Luffys journey'
"Hehe, that's not too bad", he says.
"Next. Of the 6 Seas of the world- the East Blue, West Blue, North Blue, South Blue, Paradise section of the Grand Line, New World- Where will you be?"
*The wheel transforms and now only has 6 sections*
Oda spins the wheel.
I'm hoping for it to land on either the East Blue, North Blue or the Paradise section of the Grand Line. The New World and West Blue would be way too difficult to survive in and Oda never gave much on the South Blue, so I know next to nothing about it.
*The wheel begins to slow down*
I'm nervous. The point slowly goes past the 'North Blue', then 'East Blue', then it lands on 'Paradise'
I get excited because it's about to stop.
"YES!!", I yell before I realise the point has just slid into the next section which was written...'South Blue'
"Ohhh, The South Blue, huh?Heheheh" he says.
I'm in pain internally. I don't like the idea of spawning somewhere I know little to nothing about except for who comes from there and a few named islands, but there's nothing I can do.
I take a deep breath and ask:"So what will I have with me?"
"So, there are 100 potential things to ca get", he says."They can range from as useful as 'All Knowledge of Haki and how to learn and master it'...", He points as the section, "...to as useless as 'A stick'."
"What kind of stick?", I ask.
"An ordinary stick", he says with a smile.
I'm deflated."100% based on luck I guess" I think to myself.
"Exactly" Oda says
"Shall I?" Oda asks.
I nod my head-yes.
*He spins the wheel*
*The wheel comes to a stop*
Oda flied up to read what I got.
"Hoho, It's a skill." he says.
I get excited."Which skill?", I ask.
"The
"So the ability to know the properties of things?", I ask.
"Something like that.", he says
"I guess, our time together is up, for now. I will see you next time." He says
"Wait, what do you mean by-" I say as I suddenly lose consciousness.
"-by that?" I say as I wake up.
I look around, and all I see is grass and trees. I'm laying on something hard, a rock? It has a weird texture. New world, new things I guess.
I stand up and take a deep breath.
"This is The Beginning", I say with a smirk.
