Chapter 2
P.O.V Lilian
After my encounter with the old man Mr Gill I moved straight to my house. I made him alight me far way from my house because I didn't want him to know where I stay just to avoid any problems with my love Henry. When I reached home, he was not in the house. I used the opportunity to wash up myself. I later brushed my teeth and went straight to bed. The next day I woke up early only to see Henry so drunk. When I woke up I felt headache and my whole body was tired. I couldn't even move the tip of my fingers. Me knowing what Henry will do to me when he wakes up with no food used all the energy left in me to get up and cook. I bathed and dressed and went straight to the kitchen to prepare breakfast. After cooking and placing the food on the dining table, I decided to wash our dirty clothes. I paused and went to wake up Henry for work and also to serve him his food. To my surprise I saw Henry eating. I was really shocked since he always wanted me to serve his food for him even if am dying . I decided to questioned him why he served his meal and he responded in romantic tone that he did not want me to stress myself. He smiled at me also in a romantic way. I felt my man back the one I felled in love with. After eating I accompanied him to the door after his numerous attempt convince me not to stress myself. Apart from he being abusive he was very hardworking and never played with his job (mechanical engineering). After he left I decided to take a nap. I woke up at sunset to cook supper for both of us. When I was about to start the preparation I received a call from Henry not to cook supper because he was sending a car for me to take me to a restaurant for a date. The moment I heard this I was so happy and went upstairs to dress. The car came five minutes after. The car dropped me at the Gill's restaurant. I noticed Henry and he escorted me to the restaurant. We ordered our meal after going through the menu. We chatted, kissed and hugged while we were having our meal. I asked him permission later to go to the washroom. On my way I met Mr Gill and I asked him what he was doing there and he disclosed to me that it's his restaurant. I later flashed back to remember the restaurant 's name and I believed him. He still insisted that I worked at the restaurant which I assured him to give me some time to think about it. I later went to my table and continue what I was doing with my date. On our arrival at house, I got to know why Henry was treating me so special.
