Rena who was asked turned to Lukman. "You bastard, well ...," replied Rena while sticking out her tongue. Because of the response given by Rena, Lukman just smiled faintly and shook his head. Even though Rena's behavior is so childish, she can make her feel moderate and comfortable when she is near Rena.
After that conversation, there was no more conversation. Rena was busy watching the movie playing on her cell phone screen while Lukman focused on the road ahead. After a few minutes, Lukman's car finally stopped. Rena looked to her left.
Rena's brow furrowed when she found out their car stopped at the gate instead of going inside. Still, with a frown, Rena turned to Lukman. "Whose house is this? Where are we going?" asked Rena, who did not know the house next to Lukman's car.
"My house," Lukman replied, removing his seatbelt.
Rena became curious. "Why are we stopping here? Why not park inside?" Rena asked again.
Lukman smiled at Rena. "After this, we will go to my office. I'll just take the file for a moment. You wait here, okay?" After saying that Lukman immediately got out of the car and entered the house.
Rena looked at Lukman gawkily. "Why do you go to the office, you shouldn't have gone home just now," Rena pouted as she pursed her lips. It was as if she regretted that she had invited Lukman to come home early to register for college. Rena decided to just wait for Lukman in the car while playing with his cellphone.
Now and then Rena looked in front of her, to make sure Lukman was out or not. In the end, Lukman also got out of the house and got into the car. Rena's gaze immediately shifted when Lukman got into the car.
"You come with me to the office, okay? When I get home from work, I'll take you shopping at the mall," said Lukman. Rena glanced back at Lukman and just cleared her throat. After receiving a response from Ameera, Lukman put his seatbelt on, then drove the car from the front yard to Lukman's office.
Rena just obeyed, the girl just sat and was silent while looking at the road she passed. After ten minutes, Rena and Lukman finally arrived at Lukman's office. Lukman parked his car properly.
"Come on down!" said Lukman, who had removed his seatbelt.
Rena nodded. "Yes." After that Rena took off her seatbelt as well. Lukman did not come out first, he chose to wait for Rena first. When Rena had removed her seatbelt, she immediately got out of the car. Lukman who saw Rena's behavior was only able to smile and shake his head again.
"Soon you will love me, Rena," Lukman muttered, then got out of the car and immediately approached Rena.
"Dear, why did you park the car anyway? You're the deputy director, right, the car can stop at the main lobby after that let the doorman park the car," commented Rena who was surprised, she was imagined by the scenes in the movie she watched.
Lukman chuckled. "Yeah it was them, not me. Besides, while we can do it ourselves, why bother other people," Lukman answered and smiled at Rena. After getting an answer from Lukman, Rena just cleared her throat. When Rena was about to take a step, Lukman immediately pulled Rena's hand.
Rena turned and looked at Lukman with a questioning look mixed with annoyance. As if he knew with the look on Rena's face, Lukman said "I'm holding you." Lukman then equalized their distance and immediately grabbed Rena's hand. "Don't nag, don't refuse! Just obey me first, so that no one will mess with you." Lukman continued his sentence.
Rena waved her hand until Lukman's grip was released. "I want to be told to continue like that," Rena said firmly, then walked first. Lukman can only try to be patient. Then Lukman immediately followed behind Rena.
When she arrived in front of the lobby door, Rena stopped her steps, she waited for Lukman. This made Lukman surprised and asked, "What is it?"
Rena turned around. "Hm ... waiting for you," replied Rena then.
Lukman wanted to smile but was held back. Because he didn't want Rena to know and instead got angry because he was ashamed of Lukman. Lukman also took Rena's hand. Rena almost let go again, but Lukman managed to hold it. "Just do it!" said Lukman. Rena dropped her shoulders weakly and finally complied. Rena and Lukman continued their way into the office.
All employees passed by Lukman and Rena smiled friendly and respected the presence of the deputy director of the company and his wife. Lukman smiled back at them all. Likewise, Rena somewhat forced a smile on the workers in the office. Many employees whisper that Lukman and Rena are a suitable and harmonious couple. Rena and Lukman heard those words. Rena didn't like it a bit when she heard it, but it was different from Lukman who was proud and happy.
When she arrived in front of the elevator, Rena immediately let go of Lukman's grip and pursed her lips. "I don't like their pouts," grumbled Rena, who then crossed her arms. Lukman who heard that only raised an eyebrow while holding back a smile. "We haven't been here long have we? Huh, I thought it would be boring." Rena opened her voice again.
Lukman shook his head. "No, only one hour," replied Lukman.
"It—" Rena suddenly stopped her words when she heard another sneer about herself and Lukman. Rena then fell silent and chose to listen.
"Do you enjoy hearing their compliments?" Lukman guessed if Rena was listening to his employees talking. Rena quickly shook her head.
Rena heard the employees sneer again, "Mr. Lukman is good at choosing a wife."
"Really, haha. It suits Mr. Lukman and Mrs. Rena, I hope their marriage can last and last a long time, "said another employee.
