Each of the serpents had a unique attribute. Each controlled a different Element. The white serpent controlled water, the red controlled fire, the blue controlled air, the black controlled earth, the golden serpent, the mightiest had the ability to control all the elemets.

These were no ordinary serpents, they were gigantic, godlike beings that were once worshipped by the old world as gods but eventually the humans of the old worlds wantes freedom, they didn't want to worship any gods nor obey any gods. So they turned against their gods.

A mighty battle raged, many cities were destroyed, many humans perished for the power of the 5 great serpents was unlike no other, until eventually a minor god gave the humans the secret of how to triumph over the mighty serpents.

The white fell first, then the other 3 and eventually the golden. But it didn't end there, the humans turned against the other gods whom aided them in defeating the serpent gods and they do were banished from the realm of the mortals.
