Mo Ran remembered what happened to the host Qin Yan in the evening. Her sister Qin Muran took her out for a meal. Being a foodie, Qin Yan rarely said no to good food. Moreover, Qin Muran said that they have a reservation with some classmates.
Qin Yan wanted to interact with her classmates and make friends with them. So she happily tagged along. Because of her ugly appearance, nobody wanted to approach her much less be her friend.
Qin Yan thought that Qin Muran, the class belle, was providing her a one-time opportunity to socialize but she was destined to be wrong. As soon as she entered the private room, the mocking began.
"Hey where is this pungent smell coming from?" Yang Lin frowned in disgust.
"Don't you see the person accompanying Muran? That's where the stinking smell coming from" Mu Yuyin mocked.
Mo Ran figured out that these two people mocking her were Qin Muran's sidekicks. They constantly stuck themselves to her sister. They considered Qin Muran as their idol and admired her to the core. Yang Lin and Mu Yuyin were the typical people who feared the strong and bullied the weak.
But Qin Yan was always drowned in self-pity. She thought that she deserved all the mocking as she was extremely ugly. She did not even have the will to fight back with such bullies.
While Qin Yan was blaming herself, she heard the other people in the room say, "Oh my god Muran, why did you bring this ugly and stinky bitch to our gathering? Are you trying to spoil our mood?"
"How can you say such things about my sister! It's not like she is this way because she wants to!" exclaimed Qin Muran. These words seemed to be filled with concern on the surface, but if you think carefully, you would find sugar coated mocking in them. The innocent Qin Yan didn't understand this and thought that her sister was speaking on her behalf. Her eyes were filled with gratitude towards Qin Muran.
Meanwhile she heard Qin Muran say, "Please give me face and let us in. Let's have a enjoyable meal as we agreed."
"It's not that we don't want you to join us, but Qin Yan is not allowed to. What if she eats all the food we ordered!" Someone exclaimed and then the whole room started laughing.
"In addition, our appetite will be ruined when she removes her mask and her acne filled face comes to our sight. I would feel like vomiting, how can I eat then?" Chen Xiang, an admirer of Qin Muran asked.
"Let her in on my behalf. If she is not allowed in this room, I won't be here either," Qin Muran pleaded.
"How can you say this, Muran? You are our goddess and we arranged this meal specially for you. Fine, if you want her in this party, then we will allow her but on the condition that she sits in the extreme corner without spoiling our mood," another admirer of Qin Muran said.
Qin Muran smiled apologetically towards Qin Yan, "Sister, this is the maximum compromise I could get them to do. Is that alright for you? I am sorry I didn't expect such situation to arise, otherwise I wouldn't have brought you here."
Qin Yan smiled gratefully towards Qin Muran, "It's okay sister, having a meal with our classmates is more than enough for me. It doesn't matter where I sit. I am really thankful to you for giving me this opportunity."
After saying this, Qin Yan took a look at the private room. She was appalled by the ambience of the hotel and thus was expecting the private room to be the same. The whole room was decorated with wooden theme. A grass like carpet was laid down on the floor and the chairs and tables were made up of tree wood. The room gave the feeling of a park.
This was one of the rare times she had come to such hotel. Normally, her parents would not take her out for social gatherings as they were afraid of embarrassment. Only her siblings had the privilege to visit such places. She herself was also reluctant to go out. She did not want her family to looked down upon. She was ashamed of herself and whenever anyone embarrassed her, she would think that her family was also suffering with her. It was good that her siblings were the pride of the family and people would praise them wherever they went.
Her thoughts were disrupted by a pat on her back by Qin Muran, "Qin Yan, what are you thinking about? Why are you so dazed?"
