Chapter 39 - Finding some clues.

Arthur said, and once again began to search. This time, he was searching outside of the room. He pulled a spray from his pocket. He had brought this spray from his teacher a few days ago. The most amazing thing about this spray, if you use this spray you are able to see the mark like footprints, fingerprints, and even blood marks.

He began to spray around the door and then, like this, around the cupboard. In no time, there were many footprints. Although they are not clear, I understand them.

"Has anyone else entered this room besides you and me yet?" Arthur asked David.

"No, I didn't let anyone in this room. I locked this room properly. I didn't let anyone in even when I came back from your house." Devid said.

"Okay‌," Arthur said as he turned his attention to the footprints. Within 12 hours, this spray will expose only those footprints.

Arthur POV:

I can see many footsteps on the floor. I recognize the footprint of mine and Mr. Devid. There were two footprints that I noticed. Those footprints should be Mr. David's children. I see the footprints of a woman. It appears to be the footprints of Mr. David's wife. I also noticed two more footprints.

From the first steps, it is clear that the man did not go far and came back after walking a short distance from the room. But the second footprint went all the way to the cupboard. Another thing is that this footprint shows that the person who has this footprint walked very carefully.

I sprayed the cupboard and the box too but found no fingerprints. This shows that the person who did this theft did it with a lot of thought and didn't want to leave any trace of it. But he only thought of leaving a mark. It means the thief only thought about leaving his fingerprints; he forgot about the footprints. If he had thought this, there would have been no more footprints found here.

"Mr. David, come here. Look at these three footprints from the door of your room to the closet. One of them is yours, one is mine, and one is the thief. We can easily catch the thief." I said.

"Detective Arthur, are you telling the truth? Can we catch the thief, then?" Mr. David eagerly asked me.

"Look, I can't say whether we can catch the thief. But if the thief is someone from your house, we will easily catch him. But if he is an outsider, it is different." I explained.

"Let's go outside. Let's not waste time here and talk to your family. One thing I will leave you with is responsibility. I want the footprints of all the people in your family. This will tell if someone in your family did the theft. Don't tell anyone you found a thief's footprints. If the thief even finds out that we have found his footprints, he can do something unexpected." I told Mr. David.

"Detective, you mean the ring is still in someone's possession? He hasn't sold it somewhere?" Mr. David asked me.

"Look, Mr. David, it seems to me that the thief still sells the ring. Besides, he can't easily sell the ring anywhere. And anywhere you sell such an expensive ring, you will get news about it. " I explained to Mr. Debit.

After hearing this, I saw a look of excitement on his face. I can understand his hope of finding the ring.

We both came out of the room and went downstairs. Everyone is waiting there for both of us.

" Mr. Davey, I want to talk to everyone. I mean, I'll ask them some questions about this burglary. Get me a room for this," I said to Mr. Devid.

"Don't stress about that, Detective Arthur. My study room is downstairs to the left, where you can talk to everyone." Mr. David told me and pointed to a room. This room is his study room.

"Then, Mr. David, I will wait for everyone in that room. You will send them all one by one, not all at once." I said.

Mr. Devid and I came to our floor, and first went to the study room. There I sat in the chair and said to Mr. Devid, "First, send your wife and children a little. You can stay there too. I won't have any problem with them."

Mr. Devid nodded and went outside of the room to call his wife and children. A few minutes later, he entered with his wife and children. An 8-year-old baby girl and a 10-year-old baby boy.

"Hello, Mrs. Yegar. You must have understood my identity. I am a detective. I came here for the important thing that your husband lost. Sorry for the inconvenience. You can sit down here. I just want to ask you some simple questions," I told her.

" Yes, I heard from him this morning that he lost something important. You don't mind, I'd like to help as much as I can to answer your questions," she told me.

" Thank you, Mrs. Yeager." I said to her,

She sat on a chair with his daughter. The little boy sat on another chair next to his mother.

"First, I would like to know if you felt anything yesterday? I mean, do you suspect anyone could steal something so important to your husband?" I asked.

"No, you don't suspect anyone in our house. All the people in our house have been working in our house for a long time and they are very trustworthy people. Once he took hot drugs but he also recovered and he is now working. So you can say I can't believe someone stole from our house." She answers.

" Mrs. Yegar, you don't know, but greed is one thing that makes good people bad. Well, when did you sleep yesterday?" I asked.

" You can say I fell asleep with my son and daughter at 10:00 p.m." Mrs. Yegar answered.
