Chapter 121
Eighteen days already passed after the snap. Here I am on the rooftop of our building, my arm is bandaged by white gauze but my neck still have signs of blackness and purple veins.
The first two weeks calmed the turmoil and the next few days, people go back to their homes to mourn for those they thought that died and also for those who vanished.
The government had to do their all in order to explain what happened. The first explanation was a lies coming out of the politicians, next is the words of military, making sure they boosts their names but didn't have an explanation about the disappearance but instead they focus on what they still have and make the economy and society flourish with what they have left.
The last to explain was the organisation of SHIELD, they didn't have anymore anonymity since the accident of Hydra almost succeeding.
They explains that a powerful extraterrestrial being used a very powerful technology wanting to destroy the world but failed. The technology erased half of the population that's supposed to wipe out all.
The explanation is focus on making people think that they should be grateful that they survive and shouldn't complain about it since they are not the one who risk their life to defend the Earth.
The most unexpected person to speak and gave his words was the Captain America's Steve Rogers. " The world fought a Mad Titan, and we risk our lives to defend this planet. An army of powerful creatures took many lives and we also wipe out theirs. This time we lost, but we are the Avengers. We will find every possible way to bring back those who vanished so just keep hoping..if not just move on."
The world gave silence while Captain Steve spoke his words and the Avengers came to light again. They had a choice to put their hopes on bringing back those who disappeared like dust or move on.

The glass door of the rooftop opened and Lyla came to my side. She is the first person I saw when I opened up my eyes after the snap.
Lyla worriedly took care of me while I am seriously injured and the others scattered to bring back order around the world.
My situation was not far from almost having an ownership of power gem. The infinity gem poured its energy to my skins and down to my bones. This may be a good thing, like having an artificial sun inside me.
The only downside was it was not on own total control. It made difficult for me to circulate the solar energy throughout my body. Its energy is forcing itself to interrupt the circulation process, the power stone's force didn't combined together like the last time I used it to punch Thanos.
Even if I stay on the sun and practice the circulations, the power gem's energy force itself to my brain instead of my body first.
From time to time, it will succeed and directly forcing me on my Overload State. One time, It caught me off guard while sleeping and fortunately, I felt the throb of my burned arm as the purple veins glowed brightly that it destroyed my bed.
After that night, I had to sleep alone on my bed in case I hurt someone unintentionally.
Lyla brought food to my mouth as she's the one who volunteered cooking since Krista never left the laboratory.
By the way, she had been depressed whenever she remembered Aunt Helen, because she is also one of the people who vanishes due to the snap.
Furthermore, when I came back home full of injuries because my solar energy always got interrupted by the power gem's energy it slowed down the healing factor of my wounds.
My physique don't have too much problem as it has great healing factor but the solar energy made it greater. Krista worriedly took care of me with Lyla and only calmed down when I told her my secret.
I told her that in five years everyone who disappeared will return and I promise her that. From then on, she believes my words and focus on her laboratory about researching a cure to my powers.
She believes that the energy that came from the power gem is similar to her Extremis Virus that it moves on its own to prioritise on helping the person's body.
She poured all her time on the research of healing potion that she got a small achievement. She created a liquid that will heal an injury of a person, her mood came from ecstatic to depressed again when she learns that it is useless for me.
Yesterday, her research showed a great response. A new kind of medicine that subservient of the lesser Extremist virus are synthesised. After a few more study, it showed similar procedure of regeneration like the Extremist virus but lesser kind.
It needs a direct experimentation in order to test its quality and if it is possible for me. Lyla had to used its potency to a child victim of the turmoil from post snap.
The lesser extremist virus isn't a literal virus that will kill and its already tested, the experiments today was just to test it potency of how much body part it can regenerate.
Lyla just came out of the laboratory and had a small discussion with Krista. They don't have to discuss the process because Keeper and Raven is always with Krista assisting her on everything.
Keeper is the AI and Raven is the drone. Keeper assist in calculation and controlling the technology inside the laboratory and Raven is the drone sent to spy at everywhere.
Lyla spoke while feeding me, it's not like I have a problem eating by myself but Lyla insisted on doing the work. " The potency of that potion was greater than expected, the kid lost an arm due to the accident but with one injection of the potion, the little girl only sweated a little and felt itchiness during the process. A whole arm created out of nowhere and it even a smooth skin like a newborn."
Lyla excitedly told about the process of the little girl happiness about the magic. That is a children's hospital which took care of the children being victim. Krista had to make more of it to treat the other children and Lyla already talk to the doctors about them being tight lips in case they got flocked by media's attention and they can't answer any questions.
" That's great." I said.
" Maybe, Krista can create a great business if she wants to mass produce that healing potions."
Lyla look at me and responded " But we're not short on money. We don't have much to spend it on, do you plan to donate to charity?"
I chewed and swallowed the dessert before replying to her " No, not exactly charity. Orphanages, children and single parents, specially those still have morals. They might get desperate in a few years and results to going in the life of crimes instead working in right way."
" We can have a talk to Krista if she's interested but it's not like she can refuse your plans and it is reasonable for us to do something like this since we have failed to defeat Thanos." Lyla thought about something, they won the battle but they lost the war.
Krista walked behind us as she still wore a white laboratory robe and wiping her glasses." Your proposal are agreeable. Mister. But, the potion should be yours for taking."
I held Krista's hand with my other hand and told her slowly, " Missus, I appreciate that you work very hard to study my condition and a cure for it but it is not like I needed it immediately. My power is much stronger than you think and I can probably control this energy sooner than later."
" Have you ever forget the other time when you almost lost control of it? You mention it is pushing you to your Overload State, but you didn't mention that State ever harmful to you." Krista question what have been bugging him all along.
